Biggest pleasing factor for me is that all clubs are recruiting some very good quality unheralded young players that as they develop will ensure a good standard of SANFL footy in years to come

Tom Fields has left South Adelaide to return to Queensland.

The WWTFC is pleased to announce the signing of another Tasmanian product, 18 year old Jamieson House.

Jamieson, from Wynyard, spent the 2018 season at the Launceston Football Club under the guidance of new Eagles coach Sam Lonergan. He was also a member of the Tasmanian State Under 18's side. Jamieson joined his new teammates for pre-season on Monday and will be in Adelaide for the next two weeks before heading back to Wynyard to prepare to relocate to Adelaide in the new year.

On Jamieson’s signing Senior Coach Sam Lonergan said, “We’re excited to have Jamieson at the Club. He’s a fantastic young man with strong team and personal values. I’m proud to see Jamieson join us from far northwest Tasmania to continue growing and challenging himself as a person and footballer.”

Please join us in welcoming Jamieson to the Club

A strong 195cm key forward would round off recruiting nicely but many clubs might be thinking the same. Anyone know of Jordan Foote's intentions?

i don't think you'll end up with Jordan, very settled in Sydney, so much so he's recently bought a house is my mail

According to google and reports I've read House is a forward who also plays on the ball.
I can only tell you what I've seen online Premiers.

Yep I was just replying to two other posts by other posters that mentioned Foote.

JH looks a big unit for 18yo. Comes from Sam Lonergan's previous club so he would know his capabilities. As an 18yo he must have promise and I assume this would be his way of showing what he has for AFL. From what I'm reading is he figured high in the B and F and was just behind Chayce Jones who was outstanding in Tasmania and now on the AF list.

Great news third generation to be an Eagle

Jordan Foote looks on video clip to be very useful. Admittedly, playing in a lesser competition NEAFL, so difficult to judge. But video clip shows him kicking a 55 metre goal, also roving a ruck boundary tap at full speed under pressure and kicking a goal from 40 metres. Also, taking a strong overhead mark. 184cm 82kg 22 years and has pace. Downside is only that he has been plagued by injury this year, only playing 6 NEAFL matches (averaged 24 disposals). Played about 6 AFL matches.
Have now gathered a group of midfielders of Toumpas, Lonergan, Foote, Boyd, Petrenko, Poole, Lewis, Firns and Sharrad (and young Rowe showed a lot of promise last season). Hopefully, the new additions have good disposal because, other than Lewis and Petrenko, it was pretty ordinary from the midfield last season.
Now, to snare a strong 195cm key forward - someone like Barns (North Adelaide) would be nice. ha ha!!

I know the Eagles are trying very hard to find a "BIG" but they are very scarce. All clubs are after them. Let's hope we can turn Jordan West into a monster.
