There is some other corporate bookies that have opened up markets as well but i can't recall who they were, although a couple of them had a tempting $21.00 for Adelaide....

I think last years top 5 will fill the finals spots again
Therefore I think the bookies are close to the mark with the favoritism order 2018

Can I have some of the 40/1 Glenelg ? given the recruiting among other things I think we are a genuine finals chance & some hope of a top 3 spot....this is the first season in basically a decade where I have genuine hope & excitement for an upcoming year

William Hill  have gone up & i thought they are very disrespectful as they have the Adelaide & Port jumper next to their respective names yet they do not a the courtesy to look up what the jumper/colors are of the traditional SANFL clubs........

I don't see how Port can be so highly rated when they've lost such a huge number of players and basically have a mostly new squad. How does anyone know how they will gel?

I'm not a punter so I don;t know how they work this out.

Port Adelaide teams been beaten in the last 7 Grand Finals they have contested at the Adelaide Oval !

Gerard Daffy on RadioTAB this morning when giving out odds of various sports got to the sanfl & read them out & mentioned that while it’s early the most money has been for Glenelg & Sturt

I listen to mainly 2 radio shows
The last few years the 5RPH trotting show Saturday mornings
Most mornings, the last year or so, the RadioTAB show

Its refreshing to hear factual sports shows with the occasional comical on both shows
Gerard Daffy is my favorite radio commentator these days

They’ve played in numerous finals series in recent years so of course they’ll be in the betting....Gerard Daffy today said since I said yesterday that we had the sanfl odds up there has been good money for Port & some for Adelaide

I seem to have stepped into something
Absolutely zero clue about the other 9 teams
I'm not up close and personal at the Eagles
Personally I thought the Eagles should be longer odds
Lost players
Gained players
And one main player missing 6 or 7 weeks
I think the odds are too low

With that thinking could the same be said for the Port Magpie's
Gain drafted AFL players
And my understanding lost at least four of their sanfl back up players

fwiw my market

Eagles........5/2......consistently around the placings, wont be far away
Sturt..........5/2......3 flags in the 3 main grades indicates depth is not a problem, should go close
Port............6/1......new pilot, some new players, may need time to gel
Norwood......6/1.....should be better this time in with players having had experience under the new leader last year
Adelaide.......9/1.....availability is probably the key but will make their presence felt during the run,
Glenelg........9/1.....new look squad, new game plan & new pilot in charge, will be better as the seasons progress, but will be better for the run, look for them to show something from next preparation
Central........14/1....missing key players in the middle, the newbies may need time to adjust to the rigors of sanfl footy, although the wily old pilot has a habit of getting the best out of his charges
West............25/1....a new pilot may spark renewed enthusiasm but can that last the entire trip ?
South..........33/1...losing key players & a rookie pilot, looks like they'll need more time
North..........33/1....not enough known about them but would have to improve rapidly to figure in the finish

That will change in the next couple of weeks. Norwoods odds are ridiculous. Should be favorites. When was the last time they lost.
