Round 15: Glenelg v Adelaide - Sunday 30 July @ Bordertown Oval
Glenelg v Adelaide
Sunday 30 July
Bordertown Oval
League: 1:10pm
Both sides are coming off loses as they head to the border to face off. Who will have a happier trip back along the Dukes Highway?

bays by 6 goals in a high scoring match with plenty of banging on the fence, in fact i might bring the vuvuzela along too

Lee's the unbackable favourite to win right

Heading down to watch this one. Injuries and suspension have conspired against the Crows this week to provide Glenelg with the best possible chance of securing a finals spot.

At Norwood Oval last week game against Adelaide Reserves
Eddie Betts entered the grandstand, he was applauded by the crowd, made up mostly of Norwood spectators[including myself]
By about 4:00pm Eddie left Norwood Oval, thinking he was suffering form food poisoning
He ended up in hospital , his appendix were removed
Amazingly they are saying Eddie will only miss 1 match
Anyhows what it means is that Eddie will have to be replaced by a current Adelaide Reserves player
Adelaide could well be under strength , with several of their AFL A graders possibly unavailable
If this game was played at Glenelg Oval , I would tip the baymen
However,Adelaide Reserves have a good away record , I reckon the side has won more away games then any other SANFL team, since their inception ...

Interestingly they aren't scanning the tickets today, so effectively you could walk in & pass your ticket over the fence for your mate(s) to use, I haven't got any mates so I can't pass it over the fence

For those that know Plympton oval , this ground has a similar look, long & narrow wings/flanks

Handy win by the bays. Adelaide finished the better but Glenelg clearly had the better of the first 3 quarters.

Glenelg 5.1.31 8.7.55 12.8.80 13.8.86
Adelaide 3.1.19 4.3.27 6.4.40 10.9.69
Goal kickers
L. McBean 4
T. Milera 4
B. Merrett 2
J. Scott 1
I. Milera 1
C. Nicholson 1
I think we may've been a man or two down by lemon time (Merrett & possibly Agnew) but our last quarter was ordinary, Adelaide lifted its intensity & we didn't go with them, they undid all their good work from the first three quarters & had Adelaide kicked straight in the last term they may have pinched it

Re: Round 15: Glenelg v Adelaide - Sunday 30 July @ Bordertown Oval
Has anyone seen an official crowd figure yet?
Genuinely looked no more than 600 there. Grand stand might have held 100 and there was probably 250 standing in front of the bar near the city end. Maybe another 250 scattered around the ground and that's being generous.
Fixturing (particularly the Crows SANFL team) up against the SA AFL teams just never wins.
