Does anyone have information on radio broadcasts for 2016?

Re: 2016 Radio Broadcasts
With the final year of the current commercial TV broadcast deal about to start, has concern been raised from interstate regarding the ratings figures versus the cost to the broadcaster?

I am yet to hear anything official from either LifeFM or 5RPH, but I am extremely confident that at least one, if not both, of the stations mentioned above will again be broadcasting SANFL on radio in 2016...
That being said, the SANFL have made some recent budget cuts that had a snowball effect to some other forms of coverage, so not 100% sure...
I think there will still be the streaming, both audio and video, of select games as well...
As soon as I know more, I will post it accordingly...

Re: 2016 Radio Broadcasts
To boost TV numbers would it not be better to have all games on sevens main channel instead on 7 mate?
Example of this could be 12.10 matches on Saturday to lead in to 3pm AFL match

so make it look even more of a feeder comp & a tv filler program only, i know people work any of the 7 days in the week but that would stop people who work on Saturday mornings from going to the football on Saturday afternoons

Unless the stations pay $8K to be a part of the survey, they actually don't know there audience reach...
They can get data on the location of their online listeners, locally, interstate and overseas, but in terms of actual numbers listening on the radio come game day, I'm not sure that exact numbers are on offer...
In terms of what actual land-mass area the broadcast reception covers, as below...
The radio stations put a proposal to the League for the amount of games and any other content they want to offer (like the RPH Thursday Night SANFL Show) for the League to then agree to and sign off on...
I know the RPH Proprosal submitted for season 2016 included a certain amount of minor round games, PLUS the League Teams Show AND coverage of ALL the finals...
I believe the station will have their answer in the coming days from the League...
I suspect RPH and LifeFM will again both cover SANFL this season...

or it is a pity they're allowed to cover finals & give nothing but a token gesture during the home and away season ?

I haven't watched SANFL on channel 7
But the games they advertise seem to have port or the crows playing
Guess 7 is making money
Not hard to work that out either

A few changes ahead in 2016 with media, personnel and mediums.

Re: 2016 Radio Broadcasts
What is actually going on with all this in 2016?
Are there budget constraints?
Will loyalty be shown to those who have stood by the SANFL through the tough times?

Re: 2016 Radio Broadcasts
Yeah, who are the personnel changes, eartotheground?
I know the SANFL advised CK his weekly previews on their site will cease in season 2016, which is a shame because I always enjoyed them.
Michael Maney is back in Adelaide, so hopefully he will be involved in commentary across some medium and I'm pretty sure, without officially speaking on their behalf, that all the radio guys from last season are keen to go again.
Perhaps the streaming commentary team will get a shake up or it could be something to do with this new media project mentioned previously?
Time will tell, not long until the season starts, now.

The Streaming Commentary Team?
I know there was one person who seemed to be not sure about whether they'll go in 2016?
Perhaps it is them, you are referring to?

This would be a good change, there seemed to a a lot of negative feedback about the commentary last year?

Possibly, may also not be in commentary

Not long to go, to find out then...
