25 Years of Woodville West Torrens.

Has it really been 25 years already!

Apparently so!

According to the WWTFC they are going to be organising some events this year to celebrate the 25 years and will be releasing a 25 years celebration Guernsey to mark the event.

Will be interesting to see what they decide on, hopefully it includes a match at Thebarton and at the same time I would love to see the old West Torrens and Woodville Woodpeckers / Warriors guernsey get a run again!

Yep, the WWT Eagles have almost been in the competition as long as Woodville were.

I can remember playing a trial in the Riverland against the Eagles before their first season.

Does anyone know if that was the first official trial they played?

Eagles first trial was against the Crows "possibles", on a late Friday Afternoon at Football Park just before the Crows "probables" thumped Essendon in front of a huge crowd.  It was also the Crows first every game.
