Water will not be turned into wine this week for North, probably finish up with vinegar.

Are we still bothering to make tips on Port?
Reckon if we start at 8 goals in and work + / - from there.
Anything less is a "win" for the opposing club, anything more is a "loss".
Or just type the number of goals and not bother with saying "Port".

Well, I was 100% wrong there.
It definitely wasn't messy. Apart from Round 1, North put up easily the best performance of the SANFL clubs against Port this season and all credit to them.

North were gallant in defeat, indeed, but it probably helped their cause that Port had two players stretchered off and gone for the rest of the game by the halfway mark of the opening term...
Port's poor kicking for goal, particularly in the 3rd term when they kicked 2.7 to North's 2.2, also meant that the Roosters were perhaps closer than the final margin seemd...
I certainly felt North put it in a very admirable performance in but it also seemed like Port did enough to just keep them at arms' length for the majority of the day as well...
The home side put too much of focus and reliance on big forward Luke Mitchell and they were sorely lacking some additional goal kicking presence in attack to assist the big man...

North should take that as a "win".
