-Brett Eddy has become the first player to kick 5 goals or more four times in successive matches since Mark Passador kicked 5.2, 6.2, 6.1, 5.1, 8.0 and 5.1 from Round 4 to 10 2008. The previous season Brant Chambers rounded out 2007 with 9.2, 7.1, 5.1, 6.1 and 6.2.

-North Adelaide opened its 2014 account with a 20.13 to 12.14 win over Adelaide. This scoreline had only occurred once before, 28 years earlier in the same round when North beat West 20.13 to 12.14.

-Norwood is the only side to beat Port so far this year. They are the only side to lose to Central, who in turn are the only side to have lost to Adelaide.

-Upon South Adelaides win at Elizabeth, the longest spanning drought at an opposition venue now belongs to the Eagles who have not won at that venue since Round 3 2004 - 10 matches.

-The last time anyone kicked 27 goals after 5 Rounds (or matches) was when Danny Del-Re kicked 27.12 for South in 1995
-The Eagles had an unchanged line up last round, for the first time since Round 4 2007

More like a historical fact, however it does relate to this season:

in Rounds 19 & 23 2001, 5 out of the 10 current coaches played:
-Ken McGregor (Eagles)
-Heath Younie (North)
-Ben Warren (South)
-Seamus Maloney (Sturt)
-Michael Godden (West)

Four of the other five last played in 1997 - Roy Laird; 1985 - Brad Gotch; 1998 - Nick Stevens; 1993 - Mark Mickan. While of course Garry Hocking never played in the SANFL.

-18.10 (118) is the equal second highest score by the Eagles to one end of the ground in a match.  The highest is 20.11 (131) vs North 0.3 (3) in Rd 21 1993 at Prospect (2nd and 4th quarters), while the 1st and 3rd quarter record is also 18.10 (118) vs Port 7.3 (45), Rd 6 1994 at Football Park

-10.3 (63) is the highest last quarter score by Eagles at Woodville, previous was 10.2 (62) vs Glenelg in Rd 20 2011
-10.3 (63) is the highest last quarter by Eagles vs North, previous was 9.8 (62) is the Prospect match above
-Highest vs North at Woodville was 8.3 (51) in Rd 14 1993

-The 70 scoring shots for the match (which I believe is correct; I saw it; the scoreboard had it; the live scores also says so, but the results section of the SANFL says 24.19 to 12.14 which is 69) is the highest number of scoring shots in an SANFL match since North beat Glenelg 21.20 to 22.10 in Round 19 2006 at Glenelg

-24.19 (163) is Eagles highest score since scoring the same vs South in Rd 1 2007 at Encounter Bay.  Higher than that was 31.7 (193) vs Sturt in Rd 16 2006.

Norwood still have not conceded a 100+ score for 55 matches, and only 3 in 97.

-The last time a side scored 18 behinds in the first half was in Rd 21 1980 when Port scored 8.18 vs Woodville 4.6

-There have only been three higher 1st half behind tallies (this instance of 18 is the 7th such).

-Wests previous 1st half behind tally record was 4.16 (40) vs North in Rd 9 1922 and 8.16 (64) vs Torrens in Rd 1 1941.

South Adelaide were the last Reserves side to beat the Eagles Reserves last year, and so far the only team to do the same this year.  In between, the Eagles won 17 matches in a row, a record for the club at that grade.  The other clubs records for Reserves are below:

Central: 20, Rd 2 2001-2SF 2001 (Lost the GF to Eagles)
Glenelg: 17, Rd 2-18 1975 (Lost 2SF to Sturt, then PF to Norwood)
North: 18, Rd 19 1965-Rd 14 1966
Norwood: 17, Rd 6-22 1984 (Lost 2SF to Torrens, then also GF)
Port: 20, Rd 16 1952-Rd 16 1953 (Lost Rd 17 to Torrens, then 2SF to Torrens and PF to West)
South: 11, Rd 8-18 1983
Sturt: 15, Rd 5 1913-Rd 3 1914
also 15, Rd 5-GF 1949
West: 10, Rd 5-14 1938
Torrens: 21, Rd 14 1915-Rd 5 1920
Woodville: 10, Rd 8-17 1988
