AFL Commentators

Had the pleasure of listening to some of the ABC radio call of the Suns v Collingwood.  Is it Quentin Hull?  He was absolutely excellent.

Currently having the misfortune to have to put up with Brian Taylor on TV.  There should be a hazard warning given whenever he's on.

Brian Taylor is a buffoon who barracks rather then commentates.

i heard bits & pieces of it as i surfed the various stations, not that i'm any fan of Port but he was absolutely barracking for St Kilda......i keep saying it is the VFL under disguise & 'BT' probably has a 'big V' jumper on under his shirt & the bloke is a Western Australian  

Well for the record I often wear on of the SANFL Red State T-Shirts under my jackets as the first layer of clothing commentating on a cold day.

Eddie Maguire just said when showing a replay of Vickery (Richmond) during the third term falling over in a contest....he said there was incidental contact to his ankle but nothing really in it

i thought there was nothing in it at all & the umpire was correct in giving the mark to the Freo player

but for you students of the laws of the game is there such a thing as 'incidental contact' ? because i have never hear of that in Footy ever before

Hear a lot of it in American Football to judge Pass Interfernece plays where a receiver and defender get tangled up going for a pass.

yeah i've heard it in other sports but i haven't in Australian rules football, have any of you ?

Eddie makes things up on the 'fly' like all of them do, tell me how often do we hear the commentator refer to a MARK as a catch, yet in cricket a really good catch is never called a mark, it has been said that it was a catch similar to Australian Rules if the ball is caught over head.
