All updated for the round.
Obviously favoured by the conditions yesterday but Angus Rowntree's 18 tackles is a record for the season (18 by my count, SANFL live stats were less favourable with 8 ). Mitchell and Gotch had 13 yesterday also which rank #2 and #3.

Interesting, Scott. What stats do you use for each game! SANFL or each clubs, or a mixture?

No club stats. Mixture of SANFL's stats with corrections plus I do the TV games myself. Am able to pick up a lot of stats that go missed in live play -- particularly tackles which are almost always understated each game.

Thanks. I've worked for Westies for 2 years calling the opposition and find there's a wide variance between club callers and Champion Data. It comes down to what an effective tackle is defines as.
I think most club callers are a bit more accurate than Champion (who do a good job) as the are very familiar with their own players. Champion often seem to credit tackles which have had no effect on the play at all. For example, most callers wouldn't call a tackle if one is made correctly, but the player in possession still gets an effective handpass away. THe might not also credit a 'third man in' tackle.
