The Redlegs came away with a very scrappy win against the Bulldogs, while the Eagles could welcolme a few AFL listed players into their side after coming off the bye last week. Should be a good game...

As mentioned elsewhere, this will be the Eagles 500th appearance in the League competition...

Kane Mitchell will be one, and a very handy inclusion...

They could also see the likes of Brodie Smith, Jarrad Redden, Bernie Vince???

Yep, from memory it was raining a little and the ground was a bit boggy.

This has become much harder to tip. The Eagles have added lots of class in Vince, Smith,Mitchell, Redden.
Norwood haven't done much wrong but the Eagles do look great on paper. Eagles by a goal.

We look much better this week than against West. Still think Nwd will win by 4-5 gls.
Not looking forward to tonite, my Mrs has been a Nwd supporter all her life but never really followed or went to the footy. Although always seemed to know when Nwd beat us and give me a bit of stick.
Well after last year she's now all over it and is suddenly a footy nut. So if it goes the way I think , then it may be a Long drive home.

Nope, very slick win by the Eagles, really gave us a lesson in running and carrying the ball, plus desperation at a contest. Killed us in the midfield. Norwood's efforts were lamentable, not one player played to anywhere near their potential, and they need to snap back to reality real fast if they want to be a force in 2013.

Bassett was totally outcoached as well which hasn't happened in quite a while. I expect a number of changes for this week's game.

I wonder if it has any bearing that the AFL listed players who played on Friday most are Eagles locally produced players - that is they are very comfortable back at their local club? Back with mates from their earlier footy years.

(Kane Mitchell first game for us - even crow Luke Thompson has been with us now for some time too. Reckon he should get a call up for the crows backline - been very steady and was good during crows finals campaign in 2012)
