Down to 3 teams already?
Only 2 rounds in and it's looking more and more likely that the top 3 teams from last year will maintain those positions.
Can anyone make a case for any of the other 6.
Things change, of course, and it's only 2 rounds, so who will knock out which of the top 3 by season's end?

Re: Down to 3 teams already?
It is a long season. Last years top 3 teams have the drop on their opponents due to how well drilled they are as a result of playing to their current style for longer. As the season progresses often slow starters start to click and the potential is there to improve dramatically in the season. Then there is the wide range of variables in weather, injury and AFL availbility. Last years top 3 look a reasonable bet to fill the 3 again but Central should never be dismissed. They also fit the drilled category. South have only had the one game. The Eagles still have talent and a great coach. Glenelg have a young and promising list. Long way to go.

We saw last season that anyone could beat anyone on any given day. I wouldn't make such an outrageous claim already. Injuries, form, umpiring, geez basically anything could have an effect on any club at any stage.

Totally agree, HTWWW and Scrunch. Having followed Westies for so long, I'm well aware that things can change.
It's only two years ago we were flying after 8 rounds and hardly won another game.
Just more a discussion point to see who might rise up the ladder.

Long season and anything can happen. Maybe after about Round 12, it may be a more accurate assesment?

IMO 12 wins should be enough to get you into the 5. I just think of it as West and Norwood as 10 wins closer to securing a finals berth. Then in the finals anything can happen.

Far too early for me to, plenty of games to play yet to sort out the good from the bad.

the only certainty SO FAR is that Norwood will finish top 3 & probably finish minor premier given their first two matches i've witnessed
