2013 CLASH GUERNSEY
22/01/2013 12:47:03 PM

Thank you to everyone who voted on our 2013 clash guernsey design. After taking into consideration the preference from supporters, players, coaches, staff and the Board, the decision was made to go with Option A - the reverse sash!

To save on costs this season we are trialling a new reversible guernsey introduced to us by Key Corporate Partner, Viv Sports. The reversible guernseys displays our home guernsey on one side and are turned inside out to display our clash strip. As a result only one set of guernseys is required. The players have worn samples supplied by Viv Sports during training and were excited by the concept and happy with the look and feel of the new design.

Our new-look clash strip will be worn 5 times during the season:

Round 3: Friday 12th April vs South at Hickinbotham Oval
Round 5: Thursday 25th April vs Norwood at Coopers Stadium
Round 12: Sunday 23rd June vs Glenelg at Gliderol Stadium
Round 13: Sunday 30th June vs South at Hickinbotham Oval
Round 17: Sunday 17th July vs Norwood at Coopers Stadium

Simple, just a reverse home guernsey.

The KISS concept at it's best.

The reverse sash is so simple, yet so effective, and doesn't look like a dogs (or is that Bloods Laughing ) breakfast that many clash guernseys look like.

Yes agreed, should look acceptable as an away Guernsey with the teams to play against. Norwood's away version is also total reversal of normal Blue with red trimming, with Red with Blue Trimming and white numbers.

But at the moment they are 2 separate jumpers, sounds to me like and excellent costs savings on Westies part.

Cheers
