Best Adelaide Restaurants?
I need some wise and experience diners to answer this question..lol
Best Adelaide Restaurants?
Something along the lines of 'Windy point'
I was thinking the revolving restaurant at Glenelg, but I've heard that's gone 'to the dogs'.
So I suppose I'm thinking something 'unqiue-ish' - so I can give suggestions to the person who just asked me..lol.

Henley Square has some excellent restaurants. Estia, Stella and Thai Orchard are great places.
The Bay of Bengal in southern Glenelg, or Glenelg Indian Cusine are another two of my favourites. I also am a big fan of the Kublai Khan Mongolian Restaurant in Parkside(?). That's a dining experience.
Otherwise, you could take a walk down Gouger St or Hutt St and find something.
My all-time favourite though is the Jerusalem Shish-kebab House in Hindley St.

If you're into Indian food, then I would strongly recommend Jasmin in Hindmarsh Square (the Citi Centre Arcade corner). Not the cheapest place, but the food is excellent.

Depends what style you want, AMum.
There aren't many 'top end' restaurants left. I'm going to Chloe's tonight, always excellent for an occasion.
If you're looking for something like Windy Point, then it's classier, but friendly.

If you want great food, all South Australian ingredients, the Brasserie at the Hilton is excellent.
Looking for a meal with a pleasant view, try the Red Ochre, on Torrens Lake at the Par 3 golf course.

D'artagnan on O'Connell St in Nth Adelaide is top shelf. Also a cocktail bar so you can sit in the lounge are and have a cocktail before you move to a table for your meal.

seeing this is a footy site i'll say Westies do a very good meal, Glenelg isn't too bad either, while the Lockleys Hotel is pretty good & i haven't been in there for a while but the Cremorne hotel did very well

I went there once, micky, and it was pretty ordinary.
AHopefully it was just a bad night, so I'll be interested in what you think.

its quite nice up there, but the question seriously needs to be asked...
why did A DAD not advise A SON properly in relation to taking A Girlfriend out to a more mid-range restaurant first, so there is always room for improvement???

Windy Point is great at its best, but can be erratic in quality.
At the top end, Chloe's can't be beaten since The Manse closed.
If A Son wants to impress, it's the place.

They loved it Southee - they still rave about it.
They posted a picture of their desert on Facebook - and it looked to die for.
A bit jealous actually - I've never even been there myself..lol.
I think it cost him about $150 for 2 of them.
Probably why I've never been there - to the local pub for snitzel night is more affordable

First impressions count.
