RIP JAS

Some of you may have already heard the news.
I am so so so sad to hear that JAS has passed away.
I have a heavy heart - I loved JAS to bits.
She had the greatest sense of humour.
Am just glad that I got to meet her in person.
I will miss you Jackie

A very saddening day, both for this site and the Norwood Football Club. JAS was one of the more passionate fans of the club, listening to match streams online from the very early hours of the morning and keeping all fans updated with scores along the way. The passion and love she held for the club was apparent to all who knew her, particularly those who were fortunate enough to meet her when she travelled to Australia last year to see her beloved Redlegs in action.
Some did not fully understand the depth of her passion and love for the club, and they are lesser for not understanding that.
Those of us that knew her are richer for that, and for those of us that did know her, today is a very sad day. Each time we watch Norwood, we will know she will be cheering on her beloved Red and Blue, and knowing that she finally saw that elusive flag in her final weeks.
RIP JAS.

Something has got to be said for her dedication as a fan.
She had no greater love or enjoyment than her beloved redlegs.

Very sad news.
Quite often if I was commentating one game and Norwood was playing elsewhere I would rely on JAS' regular web updates to give the Redlegs scores, always amazed at the modern technology which sees a score travel from Adelaide to the UK and back again almost instantly.
I can't think of a Norwood match she ever missed and can only imagine her joy at the 2012 premiership.
Supporters with her passion and commitment are all too rare at SANFL level these days.

Very sad news indeed. Had the pleasure of meeting her last year and sharing in her passion for her beloved Redlegs and the SANFL in general.
A lovely lady, taken too soon. Other than this, I'm a bit lost for words.....

Cant believe this when I read it.
I have the upmost respect for JAS on footy forums.
Always passionate and not like alot of some who carry on a bit on footy forums.
RIP JAS .....you will be missed but Im sure you will be looking down on your beloved Redlegs and the footy forums upstairs.

A fantastic person, I was fortunate enough to meet her briefly last year.
This is incredibly sad news.

My first post here, but as Jas was spending her time on this site recently I thought I should express my sadness at her passing here.
RIP, Jas. A person not afraid to challenge those who choose to stir. Passionate about our sport and her club and a wonderful example of the new worlds and friendships that can be opened up by being involved in forums such as these.
