What has happened to pick 13. I assume the Eagles get it. There are 13 players listed.

Woops !!! Fixed it now...

The SANFL had doubled up on writing the Eagles twice for pick 13. I deleted both, not 1 !!!

I am sure it won't turn out this way but here is my best guess

Sturt - Ben Graham - Crows Ruckman, mature age
South - Kyle Hatigan - Crows Mature age key defender
Port - Kane Mitchell - Port mature age midfielder
Glenelg - Lewis Stevenson - Port mature age, Key defender
Eagles - Campbell Heath - Port mature age midfielder
CD - Ollie Wines - Port u18 midfielder first pick
NA - Tom Clurrey - Port second pick under 18 defender
Norwood - Rory Atkins, Crows third pick, midfielder
Sturt - Mason Shaw, Port third pick, tall forward
South - Sam Siggens, Crows second pick defender
Port - Jake Nead, Port small forward from the NT.
Glenelg - Jack Osborne, Crows ex bastketballer
Eagles - Tim Kloosen, Crows ex bastketballer.

Would North take a Port player given what happened this season with the Port listed players, none of whom were available for the finals? I have no idea of what the club's attitude will be and whether they were even disappointed that they were unable to play Stewart, Blee, Moore and Young, all of whom had qualified for the SANFL finals.

If it went that way, ca, the Magpies would get a Sandover Medallist and another player after breaking the salary cap by nearly $20,000.

As you know its all guess work and one pick can throw everything out. I just did it for interest sake. Port will go a Power player and he is the best on offer. South may take him first before then. It didn't matter how much Port broke the cap by, they were never going to be excluded Wink

If you were a club that didn't really want to take part but you were forced to, you could go one of the Crows basketball players. Both will spend the whole year playing reserves so wouldn't impact your club too much.

Rodan, Pfeiffer and Jonas didn't play for Norwood in finals so its possible a number of clubs might stick away from Power listed players even if their players are perhaps the better players.

I thought it was a good effort, actually.

I saw Mitchell play at Subiaco against us this year in the benefit game we gave Claremont in the Foxtel Cup.

Yes, I know that all of those players are the Power's property, but I couldn't for the life of me follow their logic in not allowing them to play. They quoted injuries as an excuse but a few of the players on the list didn't seem too injured.

Good selections by the Eagles. Mitchell is a hard running, inside player that was very good for WA in the State Game this year.

That rounds off the Eagles nicely. A fair bonus to get a Sandover Medallist as a new mid-fielder.

Interesting that Glenelg took Clurey. Is he a tall defender and they needed that?

Also interesting that the Magpies passed on Mitchell, but took Wines. A direction from above, I'd think, given that Wines is likely to play with the POwer and Mitchell is a rookie and likely to be in the SANFL all year.

One Club.

Yeah, I think they woud have swooped on him knowing he was there still at pick 5. Will be a good get for the Eagles, indeed.

Hey, we may be the only club not to have a Magarey Medal recipient from 1991 onwards, so I suppose the next thing to it is to have a Sandover Medalist to possibly play some matches for the club.
