Quiney off the mark with a pull for 2, then nicks Steyn through slip for 4 more.
Australian top order looking somewhat brittle.

Quiney sucked in with a bouncer, hits it straight down fine leg's throat. Not very impressive by Quiney, as a matter of fact for a Test number 3 it was poor. Healy and Taylor are calling it "unfortunate"

Ponting left two, then regulation edge to Kallis.
It looked inevitable with his early weakness in that area.

Clarke really needs to move ahead of him, at least 4, if not 5. If Ricky has anything left as a Terst batsman, it's probably not as a top 4 player.
Pity, because there really isn't a lot of talent out there in the shield competition batting top 4 who is demanding to be selected. Khuwaja's about the only one at the moment.

Khuwaja needs a bit of work fielding wise IMO. Dropped a couple today.

I'm not sure if these are the stats for current Sheffield Shield season, but it might be handy for those looking at some:

Khawaja played in the SS game Tasmania v Queensland this weekend
Tasmania made a combined 237 runs in 2 completed innings
It might be another typical minefield in Tasmania
Khawaja made 138 off only 178 balls
The ABC commentators hailed this a very good dig in difficult batting conditions

It's not working for me now either, even when I cut and paste the link into a new tab. Site must be down.

So green the pitch you couldn't tell the difference between it and the outfield.

Amla having a "bowl". Good to see he's got the sleeves rolled down and buttoned at the wrists, otherwise he'd be in a bit of trouble.

So the Aussies showed some resilience that we didn't peg them for 5 days ago.
SAF weren't playing today for anything other than a draw today, but one thing they will need to look at is their run rate.
Their 1st dig was at just under 3 an over (not considering today's 2.4). Whereas Australia were at a 4 clip.
This could have an impact on their tactics and ability to beat the Aussies into submission if they adopt a conservative batting regime.
