Recruiting for season 2013

Looks like the Dogs are starting their 2013 recruting campaign already...

From today's Sunday Mail...

Are they advertising solely in SA, or would they have placed something similar in other newspapers around the country?

Are there rules about approaching players during the season? Is this a roundabout way of speaking to potential recruits without directly approaching them?

Yes, I thought I'd seen it before - although I wasn't sure if it was Central or other clubs.

How successful has this been?

Norwood did it when Trevor Hill was there .... Is that right ?

didn't Central 'start this' type of 'recruiting' after Josh Coulter & co left Central ?

At the end of the amateur league season you always see adds like this saying "players wanted" at such and such a club--it has been going on for years and years so it is nothing new.

Yes, I know. It's how I got to play at a few clubs!

It just was a little surprising to see it from a strong SANFL club. I just wondered if they don't believe their juniors might be up to scratch to fill in some of the potential holes in the next coming seasons.
