Just announced on BBC News that two athletes have been dropped.
From Morocco 1500m runner Mariem Alaoui Selsouli has failed a drug test from a meeting in Paris last month and has declined to have the second sample tested.
From Greece triple jumper Voula Papachristou has been removed from the team after posting racist and extreme right-wing comments on Twitter.

On the radio this morning it said something like 8 (?) track athletes had already been scrubbed because of doping. Discraceful, goes against everything the olympic movement stands for.

The Leisel Jones "issue" is one of the more ridiculous ones in recent times.
She looks healthy and normal to me. Problem she has now is, if she doesn't win gold, she will be forever tarnished with "too unfit to win" and that will ignore the fact she is ranked 16th in the world now in her event.

Yeh they mentioned it on the news channel just before I went to bed...I think it was 9 according to the BBC. I have zero tolerance of druggies anyway so I was already disgusted at a banned drug cheat having their ban lifted so they can take part in the Olympics...ie Dwain Chambers.

BBC saying that Greek media are reporting that high jumper Dimitris Chondrokoukis(sp) has failed a doping test.
Found the list of names on the IAAF site.

...The sample of Inna Eftimova (Bulgaria) tested positive for synthetic Growth Hormone, while the samples of Nataliya Tobias (Ukraine) and Antonina Yefremova, (Ukraine) both contained traces of synthetic testosterone.

i just took $1.90 Bolt to win win the 100 metre final, however on Tatts you can get him at $1.12 to run in the first three, surely that's steeling money ?
