Ratings after Round 13
CENTRALS – Pretty hard to fault their recent form. Players returning and they’re starting to get that familiar, solid, fearsome look about them.
NORWOOD - A bit of an understandable mid-season slight drop-off. In their last three, a big win is sandwiched between an unexpected loss and a narrow escape.
WEST - A bit by default, as no-one close is challenging them yet. Their next two games will define their season.
STURT – Their best side is as good as most, but still reliant on AFL input to some degree. They’re the smokey, especially if they beat Norwood at home next week.
EAGLES - And here come the Eagles! Their test will be to beat the top teams, but they’re still in the mix and their destiny is now in their own hands.
GLENELG - They’re just hanging in. A good win over the Eagles, followed by a smashing at Norwood and a regulation defeat by Central.
NORTH - Perfect one week, terrible the next. And the next. Who knows what they’ll do, but a big lift will be needed and they might not have it in them.
PORT - 2010, generally competitive, but don’t win enough. 2011, generally competitive, but don’t win enough. 2012, generally compe……………………. You get the drift.
SOUTH - Ron Fuller will be telling them their season starts again now, They need to receruit a defence and it’s too late for this year. They’ll still win some, but not enough.

Not wrong! Now sitting two matches and percentage (still a fair chunk) behind third placed West.Admin wrote:

First four matches to Round 5 yielding a net average loss of around 65 points at 30% of aggregate. Despite losing the ANZAC Day (Round 6) match as well by just a goal, a stark contrast in their season from and including that match to this point.
For illustration, here's what the table would look like if it were taken from and including ANZAC Day onwards.
- Code:
Pl W L D F A % Pts FAv AAv NAv
Norwood 8 7 1 0 699 399 63.661 14 87.4 49.9 37.5
Central District 7 6 1 0 653 502 56.537 12 93.3 71.7 21.6
Eagles 7 4 3 0 573 532 51.855 8 81.9 76.0 5.9
West Adelaide 6 3 3 0 415 398 51.046 6 69.2 66.3 2.8
North Adelaide 8 3 5 0 629 752 45.547 6 78.6 94.0 -15.4
Glenelg 8 3 5 0 618 791 43.861 6 77.3 98.9 -21.6
Sturt 7 2 5 0 535 597 47.261 4 76.4 85.3 -8.9
Port Adelaide 7 2 5 0 604 674 47.261 4 86.3 96.3 -10.0
Panthers 6 2 4 0 500 581 46.253 4 83.3 96.8 -13.5
Nine team average score = 81.7
The last three columns with "for", "against" and "net margin" averages.
FWIW, Glenelg arguably the worst performing side in this time-frame.

Interesting, SD.
After the first two spots, anything could still happen from here.
