Jockey Challenges

We've had some interest in starting a Jockey Challenge thread on the site... so here goes

What is a Jockey Challenge?

A 'market' of 7 selected jockeys and an 'AOJ' (any other jockey) is given per selected race meetings.
Each race Jockey's are given points depending on where their mount finishes: 3 points for winning, 2 for coming second and 1 for coming third.
And of course if you don't come in the first 3 then it's 0 points.
At the end of the meeting whichever Jockey has recieved the most points is the winner for the day.

My JC day has started off slow...lol.

FS and Brodlach at least your jockey's are being kind to you in this first half

If my jockeys start fast, that normally means they stop to a walk and get overtaken later in the day

You can pick as little or as many as you like.

So today there is 3 meetings.
You can pick 1 meeting and have 1 jockey.
Or you can pick 1 meeting and have 5 jockey's.
Or you can pick 3 meetings and have 2 in each etc, etc.

It's personal choice and how much you want to spend.

A bit like backing a horse, but in this you're backing a jockey over the whole meeting.

I hope that makes sense.

(Brodlach etc - feel free to answer questions on how it works - because I could be totally confusing everyone..lol)

Do i now owe money?

No Bundy - us other's have private accounts with various betting agencies.

If you were to play 'for real' then you'd need to open an account with them.

So definitely no money owed.

Its something you bet on with the TAB or Bookies. We then just talk about who we have had a bet on. It has alot of ups and downs.

Thank goodness for that i have trouble pkin me nose without pikn horses.
