hopefully Glenelg, but my head thinks at home WWT to win with at least 'cica' to come back in for the Eagles, this is Glenelgs biggest test to date, so win, lose or draw it'll give us a guide to how our season should go, an Eagles man tonight at the trots told me that they are 'playing like millionaires' but getting nowhere near the contest

Hard to judge how well the Bays are going as North were **** poor.
Having said that WWT are sitting zip and two so it might be a good time to play them. Bays with their tails up over a demoralised WWT by 3 goals

On form you’d say Glenelg, but after the shellacking the Eagles copped last week, I just have a feeling that in front of the home ground faithful, with a couple of players back and badly stung pride, we might just see WWT get up in this one. I’d expect some fireworks too. Players, not sky display.

Eagles to get their 1st points of the season, for mine.
Cicca back is a bonus - some much needed toughness in the midfield.
Grocke to play a big part this week IMHO - 4 goals minimum.
This is a must win game - considering ANZAC Day game vs Centrals coming up.
Players need to take some responsibility for their poor past 2 performances - I expect they will @ home.
Eagles by 22 points.

Grocke was suspended for 2 games and it's being appealed tonight, I think?

I'm assuming he will get off... if not, spells trouble for us.

we did what we had to do & even when challenged we absorbed it & then kicked away for what was a good win, however let's be realistic with this as both Grocke & Parry didn't play, Powell was off early with a leg or knee injury & so was another off injured whose name escapes me for the moment, so i say take the 2 points & worry about friday night now

Well, after all the pre-season predictions of gloom, the Bays are off to the best start possible.

Re: Eagles V Glenelg
I think the Bays have surprised everyone with a new game plan built around a bunch of kids.
Much more direct footy, coupled with a strong attack on the ball, hunting in packs and backing the first option have been significant improvements.
Definitely playing much more as a team this year and with passion for the guernsey. The way youngsters like Bradley, Agnew and Trembatch have stood up is encouraging.
Very early days but can't do much more than they have.
The Eagles weren't bad today, but were overpowered in close and weren't desperate enough. Yes, they had some outs but you need depth in this comp.
Not panic time yet for them but if they don't get a hurry on and soon, a top 3 spot may soon be out of their reach.

also with 'Slicks' return to the bay for his first game against Glenelg, could well add a little spice to the game
