Well done Feathers
The Club is also excited to announce the signing of another promising player in former Sydney Swans Academy graduate Jordan Foote.
Measuring in at 184cm and 81kg, the 22-year-old will join former Gold Coast Sun Jesse Lonergan in adding plenty of midfield grunt at the stoppages for new coach Sam Lonergan next season.
''We are delighted to have Jordan sign with the Eagles. We have been keeping a very close eye on Jordan over time as he will become a fourth-generation player with the Club dating back to his great grandfather playing for West Torrens. Jordan will add a lot of strength, class and speed through our midfield both inside and out. We believe Jordan is very suited to the SANFL competition and we are excited to have such an outstanding character at the Eagles to complement our playing group,'' Powell said of Foote, who played six AFL games for the Swans in 2016 and 2017.
Foote's recruitment adds to the signatures of Lonergan, 2011 premiership player Jimmy Toumpas, Launceston youngster Jamieson House and former Richmond forward Ben Nason.

Re: INS & OUTS 2019
I remember David Foote 178cm (? was it in the seventies) as a smooth moving, neat wingman, midfielder, good kick. Only played approx. 30-40 games due to injuries, I think, and retired early before we saw the best of him. Hope injuries aren't genetic!!! But Jordan is a bigger version of David.

Re: INS & OUTS 2019
David Foote played for West Torrens from 1985 - 1990.
Played 72 games and kicked 54 goals.
Played for the Eagles 1991 - 1992 7 games and 3 goals.
Was a smooth moving wing man/half forward. Very, very talented but very injury prone.
In my time he would have been the third best junior I saw at WT behind Harry Puhle and Neville Roberts.
Soon after his career ended he went with his work to Sydney.

A Peter Foote played for Westies in the 70s, he was a tall forward from a country league from memory.

David Foote kicked 6 goals in this match in 1989, and in this video shows 3 goal assists as well (if it doesn't take you there, go to 13:20):

Hey Spelly I bet Foote is the first fourth generation for West Torrens or Woodville or WWTFC . Bet you don't need to go through the books.

Yes, in the video clip (above), the section featuring 3 "plays" by David Foote is remarkably like the Video-Clip on Jordan Foote Season Revue site.
But perhaps continue this conversation (especially with Feathers) in the Eagles Club section since not strictly an IN or Outs Section conversation

South Adelaide have secured a new ruckman.
Former basketballer and Box Hill VFL player Michael Knoll is a Panther.

I heard he played in Glenelgs internal trial.
Puts to bed the stuff I’ve been reading that Tim wanted to train under Roy .
