Round 8: North v Norwood - Saturday 30 May @ Prospect Oval
North had another disappointing loss to the Eagles, while Norwood continued on their merry way over South. Will North cause a boilover, or will Norwood unleash more pain on North?

Saw Norwood against South the other Friday night and was very impressed.
Legs too hard to beat. Legs by 6 goals.

The outcome is likely to be Norwood by 60+ points this week and Ken McGregor placed on notice that if things do not improve he will be getting the sack at the end of the season as patience wears out.

Michael Newton
Injured from the SA V WA interstate game
Out for at least a month, possibly more
Available ?
Jace Bode and Matthew Panos were also injured from that game, both in doubt ?
Representing your state is a nice milestone for the players
But when injured , enough supporters will value the need for these matches
Brady Dawe will probably be out with a shoulder injury as well
That might be 4 good players out for the Redlegs

So do you think that realistically then gives North a chance for the upset?Scrappy wrote:That might be 4 good players out for the Redlegs
For mine, the Roosters aren't playing good enough footy, but they are / will be quality outs for your boys...
Ken McGregor knows his side has been abisMAL of late and stranger things have happened...
Could the Roosters cause a boilover, perhaps?

Couple of big losses but a couple of very good in's balances it somewhat for us. Think we should get up by 5-6 goals

10-4 North Adelaide
9-10 Norwood
0-6 Simon Phillips
The difference between the 2 teams was Simon Phillips !
A day of coincidences
When it rained the reigning Premier dominated
When it didnt rain North played their best football
Very tough hard fought game , no one deserved to lose

great game & contest to watch including a little 'biffo' which is always entertaining in itself & no one gets hurt, i agree with Scrappys' evaluation that the weather played a part in the result, even the bottle & can collectors were only seen in the dryer conditions

Ive had time to reflect on what happened at Prospect Oval
This is a very disturbing incident from the game
There was a young lady standing in the vicinity of where Bayman and I were watching the match
She was a Norwood supporter
During the course of the match she did occasionally socialise with us
Then it happened , something I would never want to see at an SANFL suburban football ground ever again
The young lady made a beeline for Bayman
Bayman had no time to deviate
She threw her arms around Bayman and hugged him
I found this to be very disturbing
Why Bayman ?
What about me, it isint fair.
