Probable match saving tackle by Seccul.
Liddle marks, will goal, only a few minutes left.
He goals.

crowd was 5,221
so Good Friday footy definitely a winner as these two teams never get that many to matches

Just wonder whether South might wear Glenelg down in the 2nd half.
i'd say we have a winner, 9 goals to 4 after half time tells a story

South lead, but that could be important.
Thought he marked it in the square, though?
what a brain fade that was, i'll presume that field umpire will be dropped next week & i was hoping it may've cost South the match but not to be, they were too good on the day especially after half time, i thought unlike previous years we had a decent crack all day & either we're not fit enough or South are over par, Gotch got them playing a more slow methodical match after 1/4 time to slow the game up, it worked & i thought Gotch didn't want a shoot out, anyway i thought we showed enough to suggest we've improved but still a lot of work to do, i can't say we were ''crucified'' by the umps but i think South got more of the 50/50 ones than we did, we did seem more undisciplined at times than South though....at least we're in the top 4

Good summary, Bayman and I think you've got it spot on.
As for the umpires, I did think South got a very good run most of the day. Not enough to alter the result at all, but I think Glenelg were pretty stiff a few important times.
I also agree that the Bays did have a bit of a discipline problem.
I liked Gotch's game for South and they have a couple of promising players.
Milera looked a class act, but faded after going off for a while.
I still think South's defence is very vulnerable and Glenelg looked a bit short in defence also.

Judge for yourselves, but it looks like Macleod might just be outside the square?
It's about the 9:20 mark, from memory...
