Former CDFC Player to Captain the West Coast Eagles in the AFL
Interesting appointment, he won two flags at Central District in 2004 & 2005. His dad is a former CDFC player who played 135 matches for the doggies, he was drafted to West Coast after the 2005 Premiership and has since played 151 matches for West Coast.

Congrats to him, great effort.
How many SANFL players have gone on to captain AFL (or VFL) clubs?

Think he was Fitzroy after Norwood .. Might have been in Geelongs system pre-Norwood, can't remember, but don't think he played any AFL games prior to lobbing at the Parade. Happy to be corrected though.bayman wrote:Scrunch wrote:Primus

Fitztroy drafted Primus from Norwood.
edit: his only year at Fitzroy, was their last in 1996 before Power took him for their inaugral season.

Malcolm Blight?
Think Michael Taylor was VC at Collingwood for a bit, not sure if he ever captained any games.

Funnily enough, Blight never captained North. He was coach with Schimmlebusch captain.
