Lost to the Draft
OK, who are the realistic draft losses from your club?
Westies:
Sam Durdin (top ten)
Brett Turner (late or Rookie draft chance)
Jess Watchman (similar)
Johnno Beech (mature age, but outside chance)

Re: Lost to the Draft
Of the 18 year olds, I think Dean Gore is the likeliest Sturt player to go. There's been some interest in others. Particularly Tom Read, who's a 200cm key forward. When it comes to the mature age guys, it's anyone's guess. Obviously Zane Kirkwood had a great season, culminating in winning the Magarey Medal. However history suggests that doesn't count for much in the AFL. But who knows? FWIW I think Gore is as good as Battersby. But he got 1 year on the Crows rookie list and now he's been flicked. It's easier backing greyhounds; or flies crawling up a window.

Bampton would need a bit of luck now, likely Mac would too.
I'm not sure he's been inquired about much so highly unlikely, but it would surprise me if someone hasn't been impressed by Anthony Wilson's finals series.

Atleast 2 clubs are showing a lot of interest in Wilson, would be very surprised if he didnt go.Scrunch wrote:Redlegsrock wrote:Peter bampton and Mac bower from norwood

Bampton is a definate to go IMO, Essendon is very keen on him, probably the Bassett factor.
Couple of phantom drafts still have him as a pick 15-25

Thanks for that. Surprises me a bit, but naturally you hope that any kids from any club that's trying to break into the AFL is successful.
