INDAILY SANFL Team of the Year
These are never an easy thing to do and are always subject to conjecture...
I think Peter Argent has done a pretty good job with the team below...

InDaily’s SANFL Team of the Year
FF: Brett Eddy (Panthers), Michael Wundke (Eagles), Brent Macleod (Panthers)
HF: Ian Callinan (Crows), Michael Newton (Redlegs), Ben Hanson (Double Blues)
CL: Jonathan Beech (Bloods), Steve Summerton (Magpies), Luke Jarrad (Eagles)
HB: Chris Schmidt (Bloods), Kory Beard (Double Blues), Nathan Krakoeur (Magpies)
FB: Jarrod Schiller (Bulldogs), Kieran McGuinness (Redlegs), Jace Bode (Redlegs)
1R: Keegan Brooksby (Panthers), Joel Cross (Panthers), Zane Kirkwood (Double Blues)
INT: Sam Baulderstone (Redlegs), Jay Shannon (Roosters), Luke Barmby (Bulldogs),
Matt Panos (Redlegs)
COACH: Ben Warren (Redlegs)
The only one I would perhaps question is Nathan Krakouer off half back and perhaps Brad Gotch can stake his claim for Coach of the Year, but Warren a great choice also, obviously...

A few in there on reputation, perhaps?
Callinan, Jarrad?
Not sure about Hanson, I think several other Sturt players were better. Sturt fans know more than me, though.
Luke Barmby pretty lucky, too. I would have had Josh Glenn before him,
Ben Warren's done a great job with a reduced list, but he did inherit a dual premiership team. I think Brad Gotch is comfortably Coach of the Year.
Nathan Krakouer is extremely lucky and I can't fathom how he was selected.

Ben Warren is missing 12+ players from the Bassett 2013 Premiership team
So to have a half a team left is a fair effort to be in the GF
Also a first year coach
Deserves to be coach of the team

Will he still be coach of the year after South wipe them in the Grand Final?

Re: INDAILY SANFL Team of the Year
both have done outstanding for differing reasons & i think whichever team won the grand final then that coach gets the gig, right now with Norwood in Ben would be favourite, yet if a 50 year drought is broken (2 wins away) & along with Souths form since 1964 then Bradley should get the gig
the one sure thing i know is if i were Ben Warren i'd be sending Christmas cards every year to Ronald Fuller

Yes
There was no expectation based on the number of players lost at the club from 2013
The general consensus from around the club pre season was that Norwood MIGHT make the 5
It was meant to be a transitional season
To make the Grand Final was way above expectation
How would South have gone this year had they lost 12+ players from last season and were only permitted to recruit 2 plays due to salary indiscretions ?
Of those 2 players , only Bartlett is currently available
3 time medalist James Allan has been injured a fair bit , and missed many games
BUT maybe if I took off my one eyed patch , I could relent and say that Mr Gotch would be worthy as well

Scrappy, put your patch back on.
We're trying to keep a lid on it.

SA finishing positions in the 21st century
6-7-8-7-8-7-4-8-8-9-9-4-8-8
With that form line it would be Mr Gotch on face value
8th to 1ST-2ND or 3RD is a helluva improvement
But still reckon Mr Warren though
