I had to leave out so many players who could have made the team, so I selected a first and second team.
First Team
Coach: Bob Hammond
F: Neville Roberts, Ian Brewer, Greg Turbill
HF: Michael Aish, Ross Dillon, Roger Woodcock
C: Phil Gallagher, Phil Carman, Glen Rosser
HB: Danny Jenkins, Jim Thiel, Peter Aish
B: Michael Taylor, Ron Kneebone, Graham Molloy
Ruck: Bill Wedding, John Wynne, Robert Oatey
Int: Neil Button, Keith Thomas, Garry McIntosh
Second Team
Coach: Neil Balme
F: Jim Michalanney, Michael Coligan, Haydn Bunton
HF: John Lill, Brian Adamson, Brian Sawley
C: Duncan Fosdike, Neil Craig, Dennis Modra
HB: Rodney Pope, Stephen Kerley, Frank Stemper
B: Greg Nicholson, Ian Stasinowsky, Bruce Winter
Ruck: Greg Kuchel, Michael Poulter, Terry Von Bertouch
Int: Michael Gregg, Rodney Seekamp, Gil Butchart
Apologies to several players.
You've come up with delicious possibilities there 'AH'.
Mind if I mix the teams up a bit and flavour them to my tastes?
Hmmmm, let's see ......
Coach: Bob Hammond

HB: Tom Warhurst, Jim Thiel, Frank Stemper
B: Michael Taylor, Craig Balme, Bruce Winter
Ruck: Neil Button, John Wynne, Gary McIntosh
Int: Danny Jenkins, Keith Thomas, Jim Michalanney
Forget the opposition, I dunno who you’d get to bounce the pill.
I doubt you’d find an umpire game enough to enter the square
with Carman, Button, Wynne & McIntosh just standing there
rubbing their hands, licking their chops and grinning.

That's an interesting team Sabre. However, I was asked to pen a team from 1961-1982, and it was very hard to omit Ron Kneebone (captain, club B&F, Magarey Medallist, regular state player) and Bill Wedding (5 times B&F, All-Australian).
Ahhhh, those were the days. When players played a position, one-on-one contests, ruckmen who could tap the ball to rovers without needing to resort to a sumo-wrestling contest, NO FLOODING ...... the game has gotten ugly hasn't it?
Those Sturt teams of the 60s were an absolutely joy to watch ... as were the Norwood teams of the late 70s/early 80s. Glenelg 1973, Port Adelaide 1980 and West Adelaide 1983 weren't too bad either.
