Personally I didnt think so. Everyone who watches Gary knows just how hard he is to tackle, so McCaffer couldnt have possibly thought about going soft on him.
It was one of those instances where GAJ simply put his arm out to brace himself, and 9/10 the tackle is executed with no injury to either player, unfortunately Gary was the 1/10.

I agree with all that you say but my wife and I had a discussion and she thought it was a little over the top. I saw the vision again tonight and still think it was just the way he landed.
