Collingwood looked like winners from 10 minutes in the 2nd quarter.

Carlton actually. Awesome finish, West Coast lead by 4 goals with 9 minutes to go, Carlton kicked 4 goals in 5 minutes and scrambled another and hung on. West Coast kicked 1.8 in the final quarter.

I know Sydney play that strangling type of football like Fremantle but Melbourne really are boring to watch.

Agree, but they've got to start somewhere, and the best place to start is defence. Stop haemorrhaging goals first, and once you do that then you can start working on ways to win.

It's becoming more obvious that at AFL level, quick, clean hands in close wins games.

SANFL clubs wanting success will need to take note.
