scores from other grounds

how come we don't see the scores from other games posted on the scoreboards as use to happened ?

r&b might be able to answer these two, on Westies electronic scoreboard, they'll give out the AFL scores but only occasionally the SANFL scores but when they give the stats for the Richmond Oval match they only give you the stats & goal kickers for West, i think by not giving out the oppositions (at least goal kickers) shows disrespect to them

I think we used to give the other SANFL scores, but when we had problems with its operation, it wasn't possible. I'll ask if they can be done again.

I agree about the info for both sides and will follow that up.

I think these days the only grounds that do other SANFL scores are Woodville and Noarlunga.

What I thought was interesting was watching highlights of the Glenelg v North game, and they have the full scorecard for the Port Power v Hawthorn (Goals, Behinds, Total), which looked quite silly next to the score of Glenelg and North.

It's a pity less grounds are doing the around the ground scores these days. With the exception of Unley, which has had to put a time clock where the around the ground scores used to go, it's not as if the other grounds don't have room on their scoreboards to put the around the ground scores, and with things like the live scores on the SANFL website, it's easier than ever to put up around the ground scores.

yeah i was amazed with the Port v Hawthorn game up there & not the other 2 SANFL matches....was room for all 3 games as well

yep & how many players would be checking their bets with a written list put inside their socks when the ball was up the other end

I think this hasn't hapenned for a couple of years now.

was remiss of me not to mention this earlier (i forgot  ) but well done to the scoreboard attendant at Noarlunga last week, he had scores from ALL other SANFL matches on the scoreboard, well done to those concerned

Reckon the SANFL do the scoreboards at Noarlunga and Norwood hence why they do around the ground scores. Not sure whether other clubs are done by SANFL or not (except west of course)
