North Melbourne v Adelaide
What a win by the Crows.
How inspiring is that to see. They looked down and out as late as 6 minutes left in the game.
With all the bad play the Crows had, I thought Reilly really killed it for us with that kick in.
Wow this side just didn't give up. I can't believe I just saw that. How amazing!!!

Cracking win!
Still can't really believe we snaffled that one. Will do a lot for the confidence and belief amongst the players for the rest of the year.
Really impressed with the form of the Crows youngsters. If they're doing what they're doing now will little experience, imagine what they'll be doing when they're all around the 100 game mark. The future looks very bright despite our recent off field troubles.

Re: North Melbourne v Adelaide
I only watched the last quarter, after being at Alberton for North v Port.
Routine loss in Melbourne, I thought and that didn't change at all as the quarter progressed.
What happened in the last 5 minutes was simply amazing. It was lucky that Petrenko kicked the goal, because kicking it out of the air was a risky option compared to taking the ball, but that's footy - spur of the moment decision that makes sport so great.
I thought Porps was pretty good in the last quarter, don't know how he was before that, but we're not likely to see him at Westies on his last quarter effort.
Can GN or anyone give me an opinion on Rory Laird's game?
Jenkins looked OK.
I watched Sturt on Saturday. When I watched them against the Eagles earlier in the year, I thought he dominated the ruck until injured, but did nothing around the ground. This week, I thought he was good in ruck and in field play. Any Sturt fans with an opinion on his AFL prospects?

He does some simply inexplicable things sometimes.
Eg: contesting the ball on the wing at ground level, almost gets it but it spills out and then under pressure he runs away from the ball. Why? Only he knows. His opponent then got the ball.
His instincts at ground level let him down, in terms of where to position himself, how to contest or defend. For a big bloke he is one of the more mobile I have seen, and at ground level he is ok with the ball, but the footy smarts let him down in this area.
He is much more confident flying for a mark or having a shot from goal.
I think his ruck work is adequate but not overly inspiring.
With Walker and Tippett gone, I think he is their best option to make him a full forward. He will know what to do in this position and can impose his size on contests.
I am not a Crows supporter, but it was exciting to watch that last quarter. Reilly's kick in I thought sealed it for the Roos. But they found a way back somehow.

I think for a bloke who doesn't have an extensive football back ground, his development is definitely on an upward curve.
I think this year without Tex will be invaluable for that development and improvement of those 'footy smarts' that you talk of Chambo.
As for Laird, I've been very impressed with his work but didn't see much of the game yesterday so I'm not sure how he went. I think he may make way for Henderson or Crouch at some point - but he's done very well with his first few games.
