Entering his second season on the Crows rookie l...ist, Laird has clearly reaped the benefits of another AFL pre-season. The determined 19-year-old sparked many of the Bloods’ attacking thrusts against Central District on Thursday night. Laird finished with 27 disposals, seven marks and four rebound 50s in West’s victory with the dashing defender particularly prominent during the club’s rampaging 10-goal third quarter. AFL-listed rookies are eligible to win the Powerade Star Search Award.
