Have you been a victim of bullying at work (or elsewhere)?

Shock Josck Ray Hadley of 2GB is a past master at bullying, but has been found out. He bullied a young employee, was suspended, rang the boss (John Singleton) who immediately over-ruled the station manager and reinstated him.

Unfortunately for Ray, the employee had recorded his tirade on his phone.

Hadley has had a long history of bullying employees.


Ray Hadley abuse was recorded

The widely reported story last week of Ray Hadleys 'on and off again' suspension has become slightly murkier over the last 24 hours.

It has been revealed the 2GB staff member who was verbally abused by Hadley, 29 year old Richard Palmer (pictured), recorded the incident on his iPhone.

Subsequently, he played the recording to Managing Director Rob Loewenthal who was reportedly 'disgusted' by Hadley's behaviour, resulting in his suspension.

History will now show that Loewenthal was over-ruled by Macquarie Radio's majority shareholder, John Singleton, who ordered that Hadley be returned to the air.

Hadley was angry as he felt a podcast of his show was not uploaded swiftly enough to the station website, resulting in his verbal confrontation with Palmer, who is 2GB's Digital Content Manager.

Richard Palmer has at this time not returned to work.

Yep reported it to my Boss with the Equal op officer with me .
He wouldnt have a bar of it. only when the equal opt officer said she witnessed it and had words with the worker .He still wouldnt believe one of his favourites would do such a thing !!!(that was the issue she was the 2 bosses biggest brown noser )
She got a verbal warning and it was forgotten by the high ups .Worse thing I ever did I put up with so much crap it was funny .Took my marriage ending and I almost broke down threw it .In the end I appologised .She stopped doing it to me and said why didnt you just tell me to F OFF!!
While it ended for me she then turned on about 10 other people . These people knew she was doing it to me .But if you wont stand up for yourself we wont help you.They went threw hell still bosses would not accept their "best Worker" would do such a thing .
Any way one co worker wrote a letter to HR. At the same time she put her notice in BOSSES talked her into staying for 6 weeks instead of 2 .Still tehre were major issues she was banned from returning to the workplace .
So we ended having the head of HR come down and give us a big lecture .There has never been a problem with harrasment at the DC!!! And that opened the floodgates for me .Half the room were applauding me the other half had daggers for me .
By the time the meeting ended and half the room telling her their were issues .She went off confused .
End result ex worker came for a visit half the staff ran up to her and were all over her talking The rest of us stopped work team leader was telling us off for not working .Union Rep said she was banned from the building and we were in our rights to stop, She pointed out that our co workers were talking to her and not working .
She was asked and escorted from the building !!!

So yes I should have stood up for myself !!
But when you do the right thing its worse tahn doing nothing !!!

well ive witnessed it first hand

some was directed towards me but i had my own way of dealing with it.
A co-worker, suffered a whole lot more than me and it was from the shift supervisor.
the site manager was made aware of issues, the state manager even listened to her claims which were EASILY proven. BUt because the shift despite the turmoil was performing at high levels nothing was done.

the union was notified - NOTHING was done by them to help with the situation but then again when they allow a DELEGATE on this shift to verbally and physically threaten people without any sort of discipline it really shows the true colours of the union movement in some areas.
she also took outside of work to all different areas that are in place to supposedly help - again NOTHING. even had a meeting with a wannabe politician who openly says he is out there to help in these situations but all he did was try to hit on her.
The most amusing fact was the company lost the contract and having good relationships with those in charge of the contract the supervisors poor work ethic and lies lost the company the contract.

there were new bullying laws just introduced federally - but if you have been through it, you will realise that these new laws are not worth the paper they are written on and just a publicity stunt for a government desperate to get a boost in polls

Its ok to say theres laws and stand up for yourself .But when you take an Equal ops officer in with you and the BOSS SAYS "no way not such and such your imagining it ".And Equal ops officer says she witnessed it and the bosses keep saying no your wrong !!!
Anyway once it was sorted I realised what was going on .Said bullier was flashing the bosses so I had no hope !!!
Was funny watching the HR officer giving a lecture and half a room of employees said she was wrong and there was bullying .

And it still happening in my work place not to me thankfully. Just one brown nose takes over from another .And if they dont like someone they make it difficult for them .Bosses still say nothing is going on !!

Fair enough Otl .I tried to do that she made my work life a misery .If I sat in the lunch room on a table by myself and opened a can of drink .It was like I was a misbehaving dog .
The worse part was management knew it was going on and did nothing . They prefered and still prefer to look after their favourites .
And this all happened because I was the one worker she couldnt get to stay back and work overtime .She had to do OT due to her spending habits , so many co workers would stay because she said so. It turned sexual and she wouldnt stop before i took it further , and no she wasnt a nice looking young lady.

And if your a boss and this old worker comes in for a visit.All her friends stop work for her entire visit talking and laughing .The rest of the workforce stop as they can not stand this person who is not permited in the work place !! Who get told off for stopping work all the people who were bullied !!! All her friends were encouraged to stop and talk !!!

Toughen up is good work production totally ends .
Or problem is removed and work goes on as normal !!
Lets all toughen up and stop working !!!

Sorry I get a bit stirred up re bullying .
Toughening up doesnt work IMHO . I tried it at work and it doesnt work .
And the bullying started because I wouldnt do what the bully said ie work overtime 5 nights a week .Then it turned sexual !!
I had to take the blame for the entire incident then and only then did the bullying stop for myself.
After she stopped with me she then started bullying 10 or so other co workers ?

But none of this happened according to my bosses even when employees sent HR letters . They all refused to accept there was a problem .

And yes its still going on different people bulling other workers

She kept going on and on and on and on and on about looking at her backside and trying to push it into my face !!!
She is a vile person who's husband rides motorbikes so hopefully i wont end up dead somewhere .

The flashing was at bosses I just walked out an aisle and saw it

lets put it this way that was only a minor thing .There were other things that made my life at work hell .
Some are still happening now .
But if you report anything they either say no it doesnt happen or your wrong

Seen it , stood up against it......and counselled the poor kid invoved.

Hate "pricks"who pick on people to big note their own self importance who usually have complete insercurities themselves!!!

Of course, there's also cyber bullying now.

Bit of a problem for many, if you don't rise above it. Sometimes it affects people so much they literally don't survive. Sad
