It's hard to see the following improving the most:
Eagles, for obvious reasons.
Glenelg, never know, but they have a tough job ahead.
Norwood, would have to go top to consider it a major improvement.
South, hard for them to rise above a 4th place.
That leaves:
Central, quite possibly could go top, which would count as a major improvement(?)
North, West, Port, all could improve a lot, or go backward.
Sturt, now bottom and could certainly improve the most spots.
Therefore, it's obviously The Bloods for me

I think it will most likely be one of Port or West.
I'd expect one of them to jump into the 5 at the expense of Glenelg

I went with Sturt, from bottom the only way is up and the club have recruited very well in the off season. Think they will do well.

If North had won the game they lost by less than two goals they would have finished 3rd last year. Came into form a tad late to make any impact but with some good recruiting and a fairly unhurtful draft, I think they have a great chance this year. A good ruck pick up and Alleway free from the burden of the captaincy, North will have plenty of talls.

I think the teams to improve in 2012 are Sturt and West Adelaide both have recruited well .

I think Port they have recruited well with Wilson, Cockshell, Achee & Haren. They needed to find more goal kicking power which they ahve with Wilson & Achee. I suspect also that Cockshell may be better this yr & he can play ruck or fwd.
Also Mckenzie polled very well in the Liston medal last yr.

Where does Cockshell fit in the Port team with James M the main ruckman?

Re: Biggest improvement in 2012
Cockshell will probably be used as a tall forward, potentially a very good pickup.....i have a feeling Port will finish top four!!.....i know thats a big statement but considering they have recruted well, havent lost too much talent and with a little more experience for the younger brigade there's no reason why they couldnt have a solid season...

I also think Port will be the big improvers for the coming season, they have recruited quite well and will field one of the tallest teams in the comp. Cockshell to be played as a tall forward will be a bonus.

Norwood could actually improve immensely and still miss out on a flag. The brand of footy we were playing for most of 2011 was disgraceful. A more basic and direct game style would be a good start. At times last season I was convinced Bass was using each game as an interview for an AFL coaching role.

Yes, fair comment, AH.
The whole league would like to see a different style and that applies to my club, too.

Have to agree with you bayman. Feeling a bit more confident this year that we will be able to finish the game out and play 4 quarters.
