Santa or Father Christmas? Empty Santa or Father Christmas?

Santa or Father Christmas?

I was always brought up with 'Father Christmas' and I have always said 'Father Christmas' to my kids - however I find myself going to say 'Santa' now and it's annoying me Laughing

I will remain stubborn though and keep saying Father Christmas even though it seems out of fashion these days.

Father Christmas definitely. Santa is too American - I slip it out occasionally to my own annoyance also!

He comes on Christmas Eve also while we are at church as per the German tradition of our ancestors.

Depending on your culture, some call him Saint Nicholas or Saint Nick.

For me? Santa or Father Christmas? Either way, most kids don't seem to care as long as he wears a red suit and a white beard. Smile

We've always used Santa and Father Christmas interchangeably, well until we were old enough to realise there's only one fat guy that gives us presents and his name aint Santa Smile

When my cousin was about 2, she used to mispronounce Father Christmas as F***er Christmas!
