Sydney Swans deny rumours of rift between Buddy Franklin and Ryan O’Keefe
The rumour mill has been in overdrive since the Swans’ shock 32-point loss to the GWS Giants with suggestions the pair were involved in a fight at training that resulted in O’Keefe’s omission from the season opener.
“It’s a wild and totally baseless rumour,” Swans manager of football operations Dean Moore told The Daily Telegraph.
“We first heard about it today and when I asked Ryan about it he actually laughed.
“It is a total fabrication.”
Franklin kicked just one goal on debut in the red and white and picked up seven possessions in the upset loss.

O’Keefe was a shock omission from the Swans’ line-up when it was named on Thursday night. But he was a late call-up and eventually made his 283rd appearance for the Swans after co-captain Kieren Jack succumbed to a back injury.
The 33-year-old finished fifth in the best and fairest last year and was the first Swan to win the Norm Smith medal when he was judged best afield in the 2012 grand final win over Hawthorn.
O’Keefe churned out laps of Lakeside Oval on his own after his teammates finished training on Wednesday. And while he declined requests to talk to the media, fellow midfielder Luke Parker tipped O’Keefe to bounce back.
I’m sure he’ll be back this season and play really good footy for us,’’ said Parker, who gathered a team-leading 23 possessions against GWS.
“But it shows how much depth we do have. We’ve got Tommy Mitchell and Harry Cunningham coming through, so I wouldn’t want to be in the coaches’ room picking the team.’’
At just 21, Parker has put his hand up to take on more of a leadership role, especially when the tide turns against the Swans, as it did last weekend.
“I want to be able to stand up in big games and not wait for someone else to stand up, and take control myself,’’ Parker said.

From the sound of things they're more worried about his friendships with players (eg Hannebury) than his arguments with them.

Once proudly boasted of ND Policy - recruit Tippett and Franklin - things fall away.
Have gone from being a unified team to one that has a couple of overpaid non-performing "stars" and seem to be losing the "team mentality" that took them to the top.
Next weeks game vs the Crows huge for both teams, more so Sydney as the Crows have a softer draw.

In the last 7 years only one team who started 0-2 has played finals. That was Carlton last year by default with Essendon being removed from finals....and Carlton won the last game by 1 point to get 9th.
