Tuesday Night Lights - State of Origin 1984
Here's a little something I prepared earlier on the first night-time State of Origin game against the Vics (with a liberal dose of that game's Budget)

Re: Tuesday Night Lights - State of Origin 1984
In all my time going to SANFL since 1975 and AFL since 1991, never have I experienced an atmosphere like this night. As a 10 year old around 12 rows back from the massive Peter Motley hanger, the roar was just incredible. Stephen Kernahan's 10 goals in a losing team was an amazing feat on its own.
Despite the narrow margin, somehow never really felt we were going to win that night,, even as one of the most optimistic kids following footy. Victoria's lineup was magnificent although SA's was nothing to Smeezer at either.
The crowd was one of the most one-sided imaginable and so many legends born from that night. Remains one of most incredible experiences ever in football.
