Re: South v West review
I wouldn't want to pay $30 for the DVD of that game if that clip is indicative of the standard throughout. The mark of the year could be out of focus and shot too wide.

R&B- did Mason Middleton play in the 2's for the Bloods? How's he coming along?

Yes, he did, Phil.
Kicked 5 and looked terrific. Quick on the lead, good down low and was very impressive.
The opposition wasn't great, though.

Correct, brodlach, thanks, I didn't read Phil's post carefully enough.
I knew it was the Under 18's, as I was there watching him

For all passionate West supporters that haven't seen Mason Middleton play, you must make the effort to pop out to an U18 game to witness this kid from the Riverland.
I hope I don't put the mockers on him but he is about 192cm and a very strong mark. He has a terrific size body for his age and can also play well below his knees.
Last Sunday immediately following a great contested mark and goal (one of his 5 for the day) he scooped up a half volley and created a goal assist with a quick and accurate handball.
The only hope West may have in keeping him is that he might still be too young to draft at the end of this season.
Most of the people that are good judges of young players are very impressed with his ability.

Re: South v West review
I saw Mason play in a Reserves trial game against the Maggies at the start of the year and was pretty excited with what I saw.
Ask R&B about how much I rate him, the lad has some talent, that's for certain !!!
