Deleted I think.
This thread unfortunately should head in the same direction IMO.

Reading the above I thought maybe a politics thread was going to be started.
I had a thing or two to say, but I don't want to continue this thread off track?

Re: What's funny
was watching ''The Outlaws is Coming'' last night with the young fella, it is a feature length film with ''The Three Stooges''
anyway this is a bit of dialogue from the film, we both
Larry Fine ''Moe i can't work out this word''
Moe Howard '' what word ?''
Larry Fine ''pa ga ni ni''
Moe (in a puzzling & confused voice repeats) ''pa ga ni ni, give us a look'' (& snatches the book)
Larry Fine (points to the word)
Moe Howard ''PAGE NINE YOU IDIOT'' & slaps him with the book in true Stooge fashion
well we 'sointenly' thought it was funny
NYUK NYUK NYUK

LNP people think this is funny.
You probably do too, but most people would think it's pathetic:

A menu with 'Julia Gillard Kentucky Quail' - small breasts, huge thighs and a big red box."
Charming stuff from Mr Brough and Mr Hockey.
Schoolkids.

TD, maybe they're not. Mal Brough apologised for it at midday, saying it was done by a non-member. The restaurant owner said he couldn't remember the function, then said he did it just for himself as a joke and contacted Brough for the first time later today.
Get the contradiction?
If not, there's a Harbour Bridge for sale to anyone who believes this desperate lie.
Let's face it, he's been heavied.

I certainly see some conflicting versions but that's not unusual, especially in this battle
Was it done on restaurant letterhead because it is not usual for the host to create the menu? It is normally done by the restaurant.
Why did it take 3 months to surface, and especially this week? Interesting that it suddenly appeared after the PM launched her gender war, and made, in my opinion, a monumental mistake in labeling blue tie men as being anti female. I am far more offended that I am branded some sort of sexist because I wear a blue tie most days. Rudd was also ridiculed in the menu, so the Coalition are hate both sexes? Abbott wasn't even at the dinner, yet he is attacked by the PM.
This comment is more sexist than anything: "I invite you to imagine it - a prime minister, a man with a blue tie - who goes on holiday to be replaced by a man in a blue tie, a treasurer who delivers a budget wearing a blue tie," she told the event.
I get plenty of contradictions all round. One thing that came out at our dinner table tonight: The PM's gender war is wearing thin with the women in this house. It's not working for them. My daughter even said that the no. of women sitting behind the PM in Parliament is a stunt for the TV cameras.
It might be time for us all to turn the media off or head overseas for the next 100 days. I've had enough already.

Re: What's funny
TD, someone working at the restaurant gave the menu to Peter van Onselen straight after the event. PvO is a News Ltd journalist. He 'overlooked' it until being reminded of it again when the restaurant employee heard Joe Hockey saying the PM deserved no respect.
There has been a radio interview with a restaurant employee where he confirms the menu. Mal Brough apologised for it.
As for the blue ties, that was obviously referring to Tony Abbott's makeover, where he now only wears blue ties.
Both parties have often deliberately put women behind their leader in parliament. Silly, I agree, but nothing new.
I agree about heading overseas until the election, though.
Oh, bc, she didn't just get called a quail. I'm sure you wouldn't want your wife, or daughter, or sister called 'small breasts, huge thighs and a big red box'.
Just a bit more than being called a quail, isn't it.

Re: What's funny
Is this election really going to be decided on the colour of people's ties, or the warped attempt at humour by some idiot restaurant manager?
As far as I am concerned it's all bollocks from both sides.
If only someone had the stones to start a valid new moderate party (not a crazy like Palmer or Katter) for us to vote for.

Ditto
And it wont be despite the attempts to do so.

Sincere apologies, bc, it was Southee who made light of it. My error.
The latest: (one of many twitter references).
Check mate Mr @JoeHockey - a waitress working on the night has resigned from the resturant and declared that ALL attendees saw the menu | |

Lots of people have lied about this now.

Interesting r&b: I decided to read a bit more about this saga tonight including someone's "tweet" for the first (and hopefully last) time. I am confused. It would appear Peter van Onselen is calling on the PM to apologise in his tweet account:
Peter van Onselen @vanOnselenP 23h I wonder if the PM will have the good grace to apologise to Hockey et al for accusing them of involvement in the menu when they weren't?
I cant find anywhere where he says he was given the menu by someone working at the restaurant and 'overlooked' it until being reminded etc etc. In fact, he has called on the PM to apologise for accusing them of involvement (as above). Where did you read your stated version of events?

Re: What's funny
Thanks, TD. I first read it in a tweet by Peter v O himself. He said he was sent it, but didn't see it until later.
I'll see if I can find it.
I also see that the PM was asked tonight by Howard Sattler on Perth radio if her partner Tim was homosexual!
Regardless of who we might support, I think she has to put up with a lot that no male PM would ever have to.
I would have thought it would be easy to prove or disprove this menu saga. If it's false, just produce the real one?
And why would you have a joke one professionally printed if it was just a joke between the owner and his son?
