Will Thebarton be ready for Round 1?
My mail is that the poles and infrastructure for the lights are laying on pallets on the oval, will Thebarton be up and ready for Round 1 under lights between The Eagles and Port Adelaide?
One would hope that the SANFL would not allow a situation to occur where the game has to be cancelled or moved at short notice because the lights are not up and running, that would look really unprofessional on the behalf of the SANFL and would be a disastrous way to advertise the SANFL to begin the season.
I do wonder if they have Football Park ready as a back up option?

Mick Godden mentioned on RPH last Thursday night that if Thebby's lights don't end up being ready, there will be a couple of back up plans:
- Play the game the next day @ Thebby (Saturday)
- Play the game on the Friday night still, at City Mazda Stadium
- Trade home games with Port Adelaide and play Saturday at Alberton
Woodville Oval is still unavailable due to cricket finals.

I have to say that Richmond Oval's surface looked sensational yesterday.

Where will the Underage games be if it is changed to Alberton on Saturday as Alberton is already booked for the u16s/u18s.

4 games at Alberton I would presume.

They would shift the underage to a neutral venue, although according to today's Advertiser, if the lights don't end up being ready, it mentioned the game will be shifted to the Saturday at Thebarton.
I read somewhere else that SAAFL trial games were booked for Thebby on the Saturday so I guess if the above situation arises, they'll have to shift the SAAFL games.
