how was todays weather ?
it looked freaky & felt eerie to me at times, at several stages this afternoon while driving, the lightning actually 'traveled' along the power lines............i'd only ever saw that in movies & didn't realize that it does actually happen, was very happy when i'd finished with my deliveries today

Yep, a crazy day ‘bayman’.
I had to stay home all afternoon and baby sit a dog that’s utterly terrified of thunder.
When we bought her from the pound her kennel name was ‘Storm’ !
Can you sue a volunteer organisation for false advertising ?

Re: how was todays weather ?
It was absolutely horrendous !!
I found myself in the brunt of the storm and having to drive along South Road in it - and I have never been so scared driving in my life!!
The whole road was a swimming pool - cars going around 40ks - most the way along between Hindmarsh and Edwardstown we were down to one lane because the left hand land was just that a swimming pool - in some places both lanes. Even saw a wheelie bin floating in the middle of the road !! So battling the road that was now a swimming pool and the rain that you could only just see the car in front of you - driving alone too - not much fun
The worst part I think was the fact that you couldn't pull over anywhere because the adjoining side streets were just as flooded. You just had to go very slow and be very patient. Which everyone was (patient that is) - so that was a good thing.
Anyway - don't ever want to drive through those conditions again in my life!

A chilly 13 degrees and heavy rain and wind all day. Now that's what I call a Tasmanian summer!

Weirdly warm here...been 16/17C for a few days. But it's also bone dry so getting mini sand/dust storms coming off the fields and starting to block the local road. Nightmare...lovely sunny days but unlike fog it's zero visibility if you get caught in it.

Dear gods and other invisible, imaginery deities please don't let this be our out of season summer...just for once let it continue for a while and give us a proper summer again...pretty please....

Sunday spring sunshine has set temperatures rising to a new record for Scotland in March.
Fyvie Castle, in Aberdeenshire, recorded a temperature of 22.8C shortly after 15:30, edging past the previous high of 22.2C.

Sadly not...global warming is what's given us the record breaking cold winters and wet summers of recent years by pushing the jet stream further south than it should be which drags colder weather down on us from the Arctic instead of pulling warmer weather up from the Atlantic/Med.
This weather is a freak...should be about 10C max up here now...until the Met Office boffins come up with something better I'm going to blame the sun spots and solar flares we had about a week before it started. Bad news is it's now forecast to return to 11C by Saturday

...and now it's freakishly hot
Hottest place in the UK yesterday was Altnaharra at 27.3C...that's almost at the very top of Scotland so it's more well known for being the coldest place. Being right on the coast it wasn't quite that hot here but still fan-bloody-tastic considering it's a few years since we got a proper summer. And it's set to last for a few days yet

It's all relative and what you're acclimatized to. When winters are normally well below 0C and considering that for a few years now we've been lucky to make double figures in summer then 27C will feel hot...and even you lot can't spoil that
