Glenn McGrath Empty Glenn McGrath

Post by Lee Sat Feb 21, 2015 5:44 pm

Glenn McGrath under attack after photos of him posing with animals he'd shot were shown.

An elephant among them.

No surprise that the over-rated Brett Lee was with him.

I know many would disagree with me perhaps, but I can't understand anyone who shoots an elephant.  Do they think it takes skill to shoot a big animal with a rifle with telescopic sights?

I agree Lee, never been a fan of big game hunting. If you want to go out shooting vermin like pigs or foxes that's fine. Paying several thousand dollars to shoot an elephant just so you can have a trophy is a very different situation.

I think this will have a negative affect on his charity.

1 - Brett Lee is not over rated, if he is, it's only just.

2 - This was in 2008, why now the Twittersphere is aghast with it I don't know. If it's a sanctioned, legal hunt, who are well to tell them who/what to shoot.

3 - I agree it is poor behavior and should be a thing that bayman and scrappy only see in the black and white movies they watch.

Im an aniMal lover
This sort of thing is hard to take

The only thing in Glens defence is the good he has done far outweighs the bad
He is a great ambassador in the fight against cancer
There are a lot of people who are gratified for his on going role with the Jane Mcgrath foundation

I found it hard to believe that the Jane McGrath Foundation sponsored Greyhound Racing Victoria.

GO the Pink Dog

has been run over the past couple of years and for a nominated month whenever a Pink dog wins the GRV would donate a sum of money to the McGrath Foundation as a fundraiser

Disgraceful and sickening.

I did not like his excuse that he was "going through a tough time". Using his wife's passing as a way out of the controversy. How about go for a fishing trip with mates instead of killing such beautiful creatures.

Personally, it does not surprise me with Glenn.....but that is a story I shall keep to myself. I will not be giving anything to his "foundation" ever again.

Are u sure he shot the elephant radio is saying he didnt shot it !!

Funny the outrage over the elephant (i dont see the need to shoot it ) but try and smuggle drugs out of thailand and u cant do what your law says !!

Elephant killing is wrong
Smuggling drugs into australia that kills australians splits families affects more people

Which one should outrage the country more

While some greyhound trainers have done the wrong thing and it was a terrible thing to do . Outlawed since the 50's and wasnt ever spoken about when i grew up around dog tracks in the 70's!!

To tarnish all trainers under the one banner is the same as saying all aussie footballers are drug cheats because Essendon took or allegedly took something

End of rant play on
