Chad Sayers son of Dean
Dean Sayers father of Chad + Aaron
Aaron Sayers son of Dean

Deano was a bit of a legend around the Woodville Cricket Club
Coached Woodville to a recent Premiership against West Torrens

DEAN SAYERS
Dean took 3 First class wickets
1st Kim Hughes
2nd Craig Sargeant
3rd Desmond Haynes [caught by Flipper]
All 3 have played International cricket
Perhaps Deanos greatest cricketing highlight was shaking my hand once

CHAD SAYERS
90 First class wickets @ 22.16
Ive seen at District level
I am truly amazed he has performed so well
I was surprised when he was selected

AARON SAYERS
Son of Dean bro of Chad
Has played a 2nd eleven game against Tasmania in 2007
75*
2/76
0
The 3 quicks in that game were
Peter George
Gary Putland
Aaron Sayers

William Alderman played for WA Colts
Alderman opened the bowling[1/38] and took the wicket of Cyril Washbrook
Made 18 in this single innings encounter

Williams son is Terry Alderman
Possibly Australia's greatest ever bowler when playing Tests in England

Broad Snr was bloody hard for Australian bowlers to get out.

Was an annoying batsman, a little like Andrew Jones from NZ.

From memory, he (Broad) smashed his stumps after getting out in the celebratory Test in 1988 (was commemorating 2 centuries since 1788 from memory), and is now a Referee. How things change Smile

TOM GARRETT
Born 26/7/1858
Died 6/8/1943
Played in the first test match between Australia and England in 1877 as a teenager
His claim to fame was batting in the first ever innings between the nations and being the not out batsman making 18 not out
Australia won that test by 45 runs
I think I have read that Tom ended up being the last survivor from that Australian team ?
Toms clan is for interesting reading

HUBERT GARRETT
His father was Tom
Hubert played County cricket in England
Born 13/11/1885 Victoria
Died 4/6/1915 Turkey
Hugh died near Achi, Baba, Gallipoli, Turkey , serving in the army
Died at the young age of 29
What a shocking family conclusion

RAY GARRETT
His great grandfather was Tom
Born 13/7/1949
Clyde played minor cricket in New Zealand in the 1970's

PETER GARRETT
His great grandfather was Tom
Born 16/4/1953
I don't know of any great cricketing feats for Peter
Peter was off course the lead singer of Midnight Oil and a recent Politician
