Re: 6 Nations Rugby Union
Round 3 results
Ireland 42 - 10 Italy
England 12 - 19 Wales
Scotland 17 v 23 France
yaaay O'Gara on becoming the most capped Ireland player with 118 caps
Wales take the Triple Crown and any hope England had of a Grand Slam now dashed.
Poor Scotland just can't get it right but was probably the best game of the three to watch...hope Rory Lamonts injury isn't as serious as the pundits were saying.

Welsh rugby seems to be on the up.
They'll be singing in the valleys tonight

Unfortunately Lamonts injury was as bad if not worse than was being said. Broken fibula...has had surgery and now faces 3 to 4 months of rehabilitation.
Just the one game this weekend.

I think the Ireland v Scotland game on paper looks like it will be quite a good one to watch.

Re: 6 Nations Rugby Union
Round 4 results
Wales 24 - 3 Italy
Ireland 32 - 14 Scotland
France 22 - 24 England
Poor Italy...love watching them play and would love to see them get a decent win...they have the tenacity of a pack of terriers but so little reward for so much effort...half time tackles 76 to Wales 8...that's going to tire any side.
Yaaaay my Men In Green but more potential injury woes for Scotland after a nasty, but accidental, head clash during a tackle instantly knocks out Lee Jones and leaves him out cold for quite a while...credit given by all the commentators and pindits to the ref on his 6 Nations debut for immediately spotting that he was unconcscious and stopping the game and calling for the medics. Update from the sideline totty was that by the time they got Jones stretchered and onto the buggy he was apparently awake and alert and going for precautionary tests. Hopefully nothing too serious.
Update on Jones given during sunday's coverage is that he had severe concussion but hopes to be released from hospital soon. England get their first 6 Nations win in Fance since 2008 and for the first time ever in the tournament they have won away from home 3 times (if either of those facts are wrong blame commentator Eddie Butler not me).

Re: 6 Nations Rugby Union
Final round with all games being played today.
Wales will be hoping for a win to take the Grand Slam and will have gained added incentive to do it after the sad loss of former Grand Slam captain Merv 'the Swerv' Davies this week http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/17397515
Italy v Scotland (1230 or 11pm Adelaide time)
Wales v France (1445 or 1:15am Adelaide time)
England v Ireland (1700 or 3:30am Adelaide time)
Regards

Re: 6 Nations Rugby Union
Round 5 results
Italy 13 - 6 Scotland
Wales 16 - 9 France
England 30 - 9 Ireland
Italy's efforts finally get some reward in the glorious Rome sunshine and they dodge the wooden spoon for the first time in 5 years resulting in a spoon winning whitewash for Scotland.
In Cardiff ahead of the Grand Slam decider the heavens have opened and the French have apparently insisted that the roof of the Millenium Stadium be left open...mmmmm men in mud A minutes silence held for Merv but also included former Kiwi captain Jock Hobbs who also died this week...the dh's who started making noise halfway through should have been taken onto the pitch and flogged...could not be much more disrespectful imho.
Grand Slam for Wales
Oh bugger ah well that's the rugby union fix for us mortals for another year.
