Making a comeback...
Musicians make comebacks in Vegas too, which says it all, really.

To be fair, they're in the Ryobi Cup final, but they are a laughingstock in the Sheffield Shield

Rush Hour getting shafted to 3pm-5pm from next week, despite making inroads in the ratings. Looks like I'll have to rely on the podcasts from now on as I will not return to Cornesy and Rowey.
To add insult to injury it's a Merrick show from 5pm - I'd rather a Cornesy and Rowey simulcast to that B-grade hack.

That is strange. Isn't it supposed to be a drive time slot?
3 - 5 ain't really drive time for most.

That's what I'm thinking too, plus on Friday nights, it runs right into the football coverage. Now it's going to be disjointed with the Merrick show in between.

The check out people who ask if you need a bag, when it's obvious that you have a bag and they can see it.

Put it up on the counter when you first get there and they will know straight away you want to use it...

I do and they still ask if you want a bag, then I have a go at them for not looking if I have one. It's not hard to look is it.

Asking for no pickle on your burger and then when you bite into it you find out there's a couple of pickles in it.

Or worse, what Hungry Jacks have started doing - if you want something taken off, rather than cook a fresh burger they're just scraping the stuff off the burger you don't want.
Needless to say trips there are become fewer for me.

That would explain why James Congdon Drive was backed up. Lucky I gave a mate a ride home otherwise I'd probably still be getting home!

Why is it when you ask for extra pickles on your burger, you get charged extra, but if you ask for no pickles you still pay the same price as with pickles?

Businesses that ignore 'No Junk Mail' signs - like the new owners of the fish and chip shop across the street

Charity organisations who employ hard sell tactics. WWF is terrible for this, and we had them door knock last night. The missus had to tell them about 4 times that we already donate to another charity and weren't interested, but they still tried to start filling out a donation form.
The soul purpose of hard sell tactics is to target the weak and vulnerable as far as I'm concerned, and any 'charity' who employs them does not get my money. The lowest of low in my book.

Many charities use 'marketing companies' (the same ones that sell utility packages) for this sort of work. Not only are many of these companies completely dodgy, but most of the employees work on 'commission only' and are required to sell extreme amounts of packages to actually make any decent amount of money (and keep their jobs), and are trained into not taking no for an answer (in some cases, a 'no' is grounds for instant dismissal).
Mate of mine nearly got sucked into working for one of these companies. Not only was she expected to fork out a bond of about $1250 (refunded when you reached some ridiculous target), but she was expected to sell $400 in raffle tickets (tickets were $10 each) each day to keep her job. Needless to say she took one look at her contract and told them what to do with their job.
Most of these companies remind me of dodgy pyramid schemes. One dude at the top is getting very rich while everyone else (both employees and the public) are getting ripped off.

Strewth! And that's just the Buck's Show. Imagine the stoush that's brewing for the Wedding Reception !
Keep your head down Phil and make sure to tell us all about it mate.
We'll be keeping an eye on the front page of the 'Tiser and TV News in case there's action pictures.
