Album
The New Age Of The Beatles
18 Fab4 songs covered by these artists :

LUCY IN DISGUISE WITH DIAMONDS [Elton John]
GET BACK [Ike And Tina Turner]
REVOLUTION [The Radiators]
OH DARLING [Models]
I SAW HER STANDING THERE [Bob Welch]
TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS [Phil Collins]
DEAR PRUDENCE[Siouxsie And The Banshees]
BIRTHDAY [Sunnyboys]
HELTER SKELTER [Motley Crue]
IVE JUST SEEN A FACE[Jenny Morris]
FOOL ON THE HILL [Sky]
NOWHERE MAN [Sherbet]
HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE [Emmylou Harris]
DRIVE MY CAR [Billy Thorpe]
GOT TO GET YOU INTO MY LIFE [Earth Wind And Fire]
ITS ONLY LOVE [Gary U.S Bonds]
LET IT BE [Leo Sayer]
THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD [Billy Ocean]

Some of those songs have been covered by other artists as well
Dear Prudence by Dougggggggggggggggggggie Parkinson
Fool On The Hill by Sergio Mendez

The Radiators version of Revolution is a beauty
Sherbets version of Nowhere Man is almost as good as the fab4 version

I was a huge INXS fan, still love there music but the cover version by Grinspoon is very good, a little bit "heavier" than the original but pretty good version.

I had thought it was a male lead singer of Shocking Blue in the initial times I heard the song  scratch

Dead Heat for the Hush versions
Both 9.1

Doesn't matter which song gets #1 honours in the various greatest rock song of all time lists. It does vary over the years.

But this is definitely in the top #5. No debate from me.
Probably in my top 3.

If Jimmy and Bob give it a standing ovation, I ain't gonna argue with that.

Higher Ground
8.8 Red Hot Chilli Peppers
7.0 Stevie Wonder

I usually like originals better than covers
This is a rare exception , RHCP play it heavier than Stevie

Under The Bridge
Is arguably he RHCP greatest songs

RHCP lead singer Anthony Kiedis' autobiography is an account of "over indulgent rock star" at it's finest.

Harrowing, entertaining, scary and sad it is an excellent read.

Judy Garland, 1938 (legendary)
Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs .....1965 (ok)
Billy Thorpe ...1974 ... better than the first release
Sam Harris...1983... this bloke belts it out, very good version

Eleanor Parker miming to the voice of Eileen Farrell
In the movie Interrupted Melody [1955]
Farrell sings it impressively in a high voice
On par with Garlands  legendary version
But I still reckon Thorpeys version is the best I've heard

Have you heard Ritchie Blackmore's version Scrappy?

It wasn't sung, just an instrumental version at the very start of his live (Rainbow) concert.

Heavy metal as you would expect.

YOU DONT OWN ME
9.0 Leslie Gore [1963]
9.2 Grace [2015]

Heard the Grace version today
Absolutely a brilliant cover

Grace is only 17
Gore was only 16 when she had a hit with this great great song

Leslie Gore died earlier this year
If Grace ends up anywhere near as good as Gore, she will make it BIG time
