Went to Universal Studios in Hollywood a few weeks ago.
Did the studio tour. Very Good.

Went past the Bates Motel from Psycho.
Now has trees growing around it and they have filled in portion of the hill for other development. So not as eerily impressive as it once was.
Interestingly, it is only about a 3/4 size of what the structure should have been.
This was done to accentuate the hill that it sat on.

It even had a real life Norman Bates replica with a big kitchen knife on the porch as the tour bus drove past.

PS: Some (privileged) actors have 2 and even 3 stars on Hollywood Boulevard.
I thought I was getting disorientated, but I guess if you're a big cheese in this town, you get the love.

DIAGNOSIS MURDER
Starring Dick Van Dyke
Episode : By Reason Of Insanity [2000]

Schizo person George has a problem with pronouncing his words and sentences
At one stage he repeats this sentence a few times during the episode :
" Almond Cork Roast."
Great scripting as it ends up being deciphered as an anagram of :
Doctor Mark Sloan

Doctor Mark Sloan is the character played by Dick Van Dyke

Francis goes to West Point..........

the coach Chadwick played by actor Otto Hulett is taking training for the big football game coming up against the Army, he stopped training in disgust & told the players to ''go to the showers....and drown''

i noticed Leonard Nimoy in a small role as one of the players & his ears weren't pointy

like Mr Ed.....the Francis films are well written & amusing

what i didn't know until i read the cover of the disc is that Chill Wills is the voice of Francis, David Jannsen (the Fugitive, Harry O) has a part as Corporal Thomas

obviously Francis & Donald O'Connor are the stars in all the Francis films

As a tribute to the Double Blues 2016 premiership, the club song was played in the current movie "Hidden Figures" starring Kevin Costner.
Got a few strange looks when I started signing the words! jocolor  jocolor

It's a good movie.

Maybe the highlighting of racism in the state of Virginia is perhaps a just little overstated early in the movie and detracts a bit from the central story of the women whose mathematical skills greatly assisted in launching NASA rockets in the 60s.

Only joking about the "Grand Old Flag" reference, but the song is played in the movie during a parade.

DOC MARTIN
Martin Clunes is a versatile actor
In Men Behaving Badly he is a 'brilliant' actor, and a funny man
In Doc Martin he is almost the exact opposite
A Doctor that is sarcastic, no nonsense and an egotistical individual, and in general you cant fool him

In series 1 Episode 2

DOC : Mrs Walker
WALKER: Maryanne please, am I your first patient ?
DOC : Indeed you are yes, collect 1000 loyalty points you get a free coffin

The practice had just officially opened on this episode

DIAGNOSIS MURDER
Episode : Murder Blues [1997]

COP THIS
The actors in this episode is a crime  kind of who's who
The cast of guests include in alphabetical order and the TV crime shows they acted in

Angie Dickinson [Police Woman]
James Darren [T J Hooker]
Fred Dryer [Hunter]
Martin Milner [Adam 12]
Kent McCord[Adam 12]

They all played cops in this episode, except James Darren who played a Councilman
Angie Dickinson was born 30/9/1931
So she is either 65 or 66 years old in this episode , still LOOKing fab
If she was 65  to en route 66, it means then that she and Martin Milner had something in common

The Best Years Of Our Lives [1946]

In real life
Loy born in 1905

THE GUNFIGHTER [1950]
About a wild west gunslinger played by Gregory Peck
The gist of this is, he came back to the town of Cayenne to see his wife and kid, the kid he has never seen , after a 8 year hiatus
Helen Westcott , who reminds me of Ingrid Bergman , was the wife who bore Ringos child , after Ringo took off

What the ....
Movie made in 1950
In real life Westcott was born new years day on 1/1/1928
That makes her 22 years old playing the part in the movie

HAPPY DAYS
Fonzies Old Lady [1977]

Fonzie dates an older woman
When he finds out she is married, the ethical Fonzie calls it off
The Old lady was Adriana, played by Diana Hyland

This episode was aired on 4/1/77
Hyland was a lovely looking 40 year old in this episode
Hyland turned 41 on 25/1/77

In her real life , in 1976 ,she was also in a relationship with a much younger John Travolta
Travolta was in his very early 20s

So as it turns out she is having a relationship with Travolta in real life and at the same time is in  a relationship when acting with Fonzie
Both men much younger than Hyland

There is a very sad sequel to all of this
Hyland died 2 months after this Happy Days episode of breast cancer on 27/3/1977

QUINCY
Episode : The Hot Dog Murder

Claire Brennen played the part of Sara Kendall in this episode

Episode aired 22/4/1977
Claire Brennen died of cancer 27/11/1977 , just over 7 months later

What I found eerie was the coroners car that Quincy drove when he visited Sara Kendall
The cars number plate was 999853 which adds up to 43
Claire Brennan died in real life aged 43
