Re: Where to buy Music in Adelaide
RECORD MAINTENANCE
This I've read off the back of a Dave Clark Five viynl album
The disc is pressed from the finest virgin vinyl , in a process that removes surface noise and distortion
A microgroove-stereo pick up with a .0007 tip radius + .0001 is recommended for finest results, with a stylus weight of not more that 4 grams
Handle this disc with great care, especially avoiding touching the playing surface with fingers [skin oils damage the vinyls]
Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the disc, and store it carefully in this jacket at moderate temperature
With proper care this high fidelity stereophonic disc should last indefinitely
There you go
As Gabriella once sang lessons to be learnt
First don't but your finger prints over the record
And 'always' clean with a moist cloth
Don't rub a dry cloth, if you have spicks and specks on your record or cloth it can actually scratch the surface of the record
RECORD CLEANER
Groover Fraser, Rock Therapy, at 536 Goodwood Road Daw Park , sells a nice liquid cleaning spray
Comes in a blue 200ml plastic bottle
Its simply reads as Record Cleaner
Retails for about $20-$25
Its an extremely good investment
I've used in on vinyls that had needle sticks , and saved the viynl's
So its a cleaner and restorer

Wandora Avenue Mini Fair
I attended last Saturday
Was a rip snorter
Several traders selling their wares
Excellent display , I bought plenty , enough to have my own stall when the next gig !
That next gig I think is coming up in September
Watch this thread for further news
Don't forget the Semaphore fair
Will be a great day this Saturday
Watch out for the star trader Hippy Bobby

Re: Where to buy Music in Adelaide
One of my all time favourite songs of the past was Eloise by Barry Ryan.
I have Eloise on CD but the flip side was a song called, Love I Almost Found You, a great song.
I had Eloise on the old 45 vinyl but has been lost, would any of these sellers have Eloise on vinyl for sale.

Thanks for your offer Scrappy but I have the album you have mentioned, bought it years ago some good tracks on it.
As for the 45, I was searching youtube this morning and found an old clip of Barry Ryan singing "Love I almost found you" All good and once again thank you for your offer, much appreciated, cheers for now.

On the Zoot Locker Album
A very distinctive look about the alBUM
Its pink
Picture on the back of the alBUM , all 4 members are flashing their bare bums
Its About Time like most of the Zoot tunes is very catchy

RECORDS MINI FAIR
Sunday 21/9/2014
8:30-5:30pm
I've given plenty of notice for this one
This is off a flyer I have
1000's of Vinyl LP's , 45s
Picture and Coloured Discs
also Plastic Sleeves and
New Single Covers
Lots of stalls and rare items
15 Wandora Crescent Salisbury Park
Went to the last one in April
There were half a dozen + sellers
Lots of 50/60/70's music sold
I found the prices for the albums were on the inexpensive side
Played them all, and all were in good to very very good condition
The organiser John has been doing music fairs for a while , and runs an impressive show at the premise

Re: Where to buy Music in Adelaide
SCRAPPYS COLLECTION
I will be selling about 75% of my music collection
I'm about half way through , I expect to have about 1000 LPs at VG+ or better standard for sale later this year
I've had to grade about 2000 Albums , and am playing and testing them all them individually
I started in May and should finish by mid September , hopefully
I will also have a scratch and dent sale of mostly only well known artists at inexpensive prices rated VG and VG-
Undecided [great Masters track !] where I will be selling the LPs as yet
